Always had his limitations, but he looks lost. He's been a great competitor over the years, and you know what you normally get from him. But he looks devoid of confidence. He's better than this. Not best 22 obviously, but he's better than this..

Bit hard to be compete as a defender when the ball keeps getting pumped in there. Not even the best defenders can cope with it. Our midfield is being smashed to pieces.

Sav being shit and our midfield also being shit isn't mutually exclusive.

Midfield is a product of having none of the natural leaders in, Danger, Guthrie, Duncan, even Selwood. Left with a bunch of guys who have always waited for others to lead, this is what happens.

Rather than pay for one extra field umpire maybe the AFL could have forked out for extra goal umpires so they were out of position less
