Make no mistake, this isn't a one off week. We've been this s**t for a couple weeks now. We haven't rebounded from last week's awful effort in which we showed up for 1 quarter against the worst team I've seen in the last 10 years.
I fear we are in for a reality check over the next 2 months.
And we love getting pushed off it. It's a match made in heaven. They love a push in the back don't they?
he’s the sugar in the coffeeNo Parish No Essendon.
It appears.
Definitely missing Parish. Perkins needs to lift. Hopefully our forwards get more separation in the 2nd half. Lots of holding, clear jumper pulls from Tigers. Our defence looks good but our midfield has looked a bit average the last two weeks
To be fair, the young guys in key spots look like they need a restHope Scott rips into them. They’ve been terrible. A lot of passengers! Been kept in the game by a few regulars, the rest need to lift!
I feel this would have been a perfect game for Duursma to play in. Up and back, link up where requiredMost disappointing performance so far is Perkins. No impact in a game where we desperately need another mid to step up. Some good tackles but that’s about it.
Tsatas also needs to contribute. Too much left to go few in the middle. We’re relying way too much on the quality of Ridley, Redman and Martin to rebound for any sort of attacking momentum.
along the same lines, teams know we will break, now or in finals when the pressure goes up. The sooner we put a team away like this, the competition might finally go, *, Essendon has changed. The 40 point win against North was not it. Tonight is going the same directionPsychologically this team still cant move past taking 5% off against poor teams.
I think there is an element of poorer trams circling games against us because they know we will give them a chance. But we just dont have the fortitufe that comes with being hunted regularly to go up a level and put teams away
They are in it at half time, and the longer they stay in touch then the more confidence they gain.
Seeing more of Kelly up there for some bloody reasonNeed to move Martin to help the midfield. Defence will be fine without him
Who? Fans or the club? Don't think anyone has gotten ahead of themselves. I think we all know where we are.Make no mistake, this isn't a one off week. We've been this s**t for a couple weeks now.
