If West + Martin playing together again I'm going to do
Martin > Gawn
Kennedy > Wingard

If West is dropped (not looking likely I don't think) I'll downgrade a bench defender to Sam Collins
and trade Kennedy > Robbie Gray.

I'm holding Stef - #1 scoring player last year. Was an absolute must have and now down on form.

I think it's critical to start culling cash cows/upgrading to a full squad. Even if Martin is worth 400k after the byes I can always luxury trade him then. I could do with 4 trades this week to be honest - can't waste one on a sideways right now.

Gawn scored a 40 and a 50 the two weeks prior to last.

Gawn is kind of tempting. Take out that 47, 59 and 61 and he's awesome. When he goes big it kind of makes up for it.

Would be very frustrating if he gets stuck in a rut of scoring like that though.

Martin was averaging about 90 a few weeks ago.

Gawn was coming off a 59 and 47 before going big last week.
Martin is coming off 58 and 44.

The link does seem to be West - but I noticed they did play together last year and Martin managed 124 and 151 in those two games.

I wonder if not having either Rocky or Beams has any effect on Stefs scoring? Don't watch enough Brisbane games to know if there's any kind of link..but I have noticed he just looks lost out there from the bits I have watched.

I think I might be reaching for some kind of reason to not write off my $630k investment at the start of the year

I think i will hold Stef for the same reason. Plus he scores better with Rockliff back in the side.

Rockliff said on the podcast he would try to handball it to stef during the game. Backing him in.

This year hes averaged 95 when rocky is in the team.

I 100% agree. There was a reason he was no 1 last year. He is just down on form. I dont understand why people botehr trading him out, surely everyone has better and more important trades to do in their team. More important to cash out before rookies and cows start leaking cash and you miss out on the boat for the next upcoming (Collins, Dunkley, 1st/2nd gamers etc)

I fully expect Rocky to be handballing to Stef, but unfortunately they'll probably both be stuck deep in the forward line when it happens!

Stef feels very much like a luxury trade. Chances are that he'll turn it around, even with West likely to be in the team for the foreseeable future.

I have this gut feeling that I should trade him but there's no real gun ruckman putting their names up to be selected. I'd much rather use the cash I have and trade Hartley for Steven as well as sidewaysing Viney to Wingard.

Guys who would you go in the back line out of Howe, McVeigh or Suckling?

Howe's breakeven of 38 looks very attractive, but the round 13 bye puts me off a bit. Suckling seems more consistent but may be cheaper next week with a breakeven of 103. McVeigh seems the perfect get as a fallen premium, plus he’s playing GCS this week with a breakeven of 84, but geez he's been bad this year.

Or do i spend the extra money on Bartel/vince.

My good mate - Warren Buffett, said that most of the savvy young coaches are actually trading IN Stef Martin this week. Mumbled something about bull and bear then trotted off to make some money.

Some real tasty options at the moment: McVeigh, Gibson, Lewis, Gray, Wingard etc.

Yep, I play this game like I play the stock market :p.

Probably why I'm so depressed about having held Stef from the start... But he's like having shares in the Banks, you don't sell when he's low, will bounce back.

Tossing up Wingard, R Gray or Montagna. First leaves a tidy sum in hand plus money making potential. Montagna seems value and has shown solid scoring power. Gray has some of both and is the way I'm leaning as a Papley replacement. Port are also better for my bye balancing than the Saints.

Cameron dropped. I think my trades became a little easier.

C Cameron -> J Jansen (Mills DPP)
D Mac -> Blakely ('good' JS at least until the bye)

Keeping Stef, Gaff and Yeo back into my lineup. Leaves me with $92K for hopefully an up/down next week or another cash saving round before the bye.

in a bit of a conundrum people, should I trade martin to goldstein which doesn't help my bye set up for kerridge to lewis via dpp which does help the bye structure. Leaning for option 2 as I wanna back stef in

Reassessed my trades and instead of getting Steven I've opted to go cheaper and conserve some cash.

Lack of quality rookies coming through is making cash essential

Very similar trades

Hartley > R. Gray
Viney > Wingard

Can't justify spending a trade on Stef, even though my gut tells me to kick him to the curb.

Leaves me with 95k instead of 40k

Wish I could afford both of those while solving a couple of forward line problems.
