I like it, Ellis underperforming so should be dropped… Berry was average last week as sub but i think he deserves a full game and will suit the conditions.

Glad Ellis poor performance didn't go unnoticed. Wonder where that leaves us with wingmen, fiorini and luko named there but luko probably plays a fair amount forward considering we have gone a bit smaller. Berry may be an option or maybe ainsworth could get into it a bit more up there. Atkins and Powell other options. Definitely an area to look at in the trade period at the end of the year.

I don’t mind the changes, but surely we are not moving Luko again after he has finally found some form playing half-forward.

Maybe Jeffrey to play in the back half (instead of bringing him into the forward line after playing him at half-back in the VFL) and Powell more up to the wing?

The lineup really shows how much we are missing Weller’s speed on the outside.

Farrar to sub out of those 4?

Team selection reflects where we are
I’m pretty sure this scenario isn’t what Dewy et al imagined when they were playing out Footy Fantasy pre season
Jy and Joel are ok

Lukosius has been listed on the wing quite a few times this year but doesn't play their so must just be a quirk of how we submit the 22

Also, that Bulldogs lineup looking like Dews fantasy. 8 talls on a Saturday night in Darwin is a choice!
Predicted 30 degree weather at 5:00pm on Saturday arvo so you just know it's going to be warm and slippery as we get later into the night. We've been training in those conditions for months and the Dogs have been playing/training in the bitterly cold conditions of Melbourne/Ballarat. Dream scenario against a very tall Bulldogs outfit. I just hope we have the gas tank to run the game out.

We are as tall as Dogs are.

We are as tall as Dogs are.
Are we though?

Rory Lobb (207cm), Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (197cm), Aaron Naughton (195cm).
Ben King (202cm), Levi Casboult (198cm), Joel Jeffrey (192cm).

They've also named key forward James O'Donnell (197cm) on their bench and we suspect Jack Lukosius (195cm) will play forward for us at times.

Virtually every other forward is under 190cm.

Even Jarrod Witts (208cm) and Tim English (207cm) is basically a dead heat.

Yes.

189.3 vs 189.4

Collins 194, Ballard 196, Andrew 202 vs Jones 199, Gardner 197, O'Brien 193
Witts 209 vs English 208
Luko 195, Casboult 199, King 202, Jeffrey 192 vs Lobb 207, JUH 197, Naughton 196 O'Donnell 197
Wouldn't it be more useful to compare just the forwards as opposed to all talls? Defenders aren't necessarily trying to mark the ball in every contest whereas forwards are and the slippery conditions obviously affect the marking ability. Compare the forwards and they've got us covered in terms of height.

O'Donnell will play as a hybrid defender this week in that 3rd or 4th tall role. Losing JJ's run and replacing him with a kid who's still learning the game provides the Suns with an opportunity to expose this though.
