Windhager is getting better at running to the right places and using the ball but he’s a real weapon with his ability to run with and shut down the oppositions best mids.

Steele was the same early on. He was running to all the wrong spots until he tagged.

I'd rather they bomb it to Max than to Seb Ross. But the bombing is the problem, whether Max is there or not. When we were brave and hung on to the ball for a bit longer we found options. Wood used a bit more forward craft which is what Max really needs to work on, but he's been pretty good lately.

Thought Max Kink played his best game of the year. Was working hard and moving well.

That was delicious, massive win in the context of our season. Here I was thinking this club is seriously broken and disconnected at half time.

- Sincs to Reid with Webster at D50 stoppages really wasn’t the match up. Windy took home the chocolates 2nd half.

- Impressive performances from Dow and Wood. Big moments from Wood to bring it home.

- I thought Clark and Steele really brought the heat 2nd half and gave it a real crack up tight in the contest.

- A lot to work on, but thought there were patches where our transition into 50 looked a whole better, looked much more natural than forcing the needle.

- Eagles inability to defend 1v1s overhead really helped, but need to take the wins when you can.

- Good to see Membrey step up late after a very disappointing 1st half. Seemed to really motivate the group.

- We look a much better side when giving it a red hot crack in the coal face, and being comfortable taking territory. Crouch back next week will help more here.

- For the love of god, get Nas up around F50 or around the middle. We’re not getting bang for buck just having him move it from D50.

Seb's stats look horrible.
4 of his 6 possessions were contested, so he must have been amongst the thick of it, but jesus. (surely they weren't tagging him ).
He had a few tackles at least

Seemed across HB in the first half and across HF in the second half. Not sure what his actual role was.

The "Clark(e) Effect" in action - the bookies weren't wrong.

Also ........ I'm wondering if this means I have to do another Barramundi thread on Monday ?
Maybe keep that one under wraps mate. 😉

Its not like its a negative on a kid playing his 10th game.
He will be better for it needs to get mentally stronger
Windy destroyed him

Yeah Harley Reid is still going to be a star, it says a lot when he cops a tag this early in his career.

It also says a lot when Windhager was sent to tag him, he has just as much strength as him if not more and isn't that much older.

Haven't watched.
Never a bad thing to win. Listened to Enright and pretty measured. Got 4 points with plenty of work to do.
Didn't hurt them having a few key late outs but you take that.
We will have our own injury concerns from the sounds of things.

First game i have managed to go to in a few years, after the first quarter I thought the highlight of the match was going to be the renegade eagle before the start going into corporate boxes.

Was good to see Steele lift a bit, no touches or tackles in the first quarter and he was on 95% of that quarter. Seems like he took it personally to finish with 15 tackles in 3 quarters

Thought Dow got better throughout the game, won some pivotal clearances.

Wilkie setting up behind the ball looked strong, maybe with the help of waterman out.

Was looking forward to seeing Owens live but he seemed to struggle getting involved for the most part.

Dunno, I reckon smashing them by 50 would have been papering over cracks.

I think this win gives us a pretty realistic indication of where we are at - a small step above the absolute bottom rung, but a fair way off the rest.
They convincingly beat Melbourne last home game, but carry on
