Shocking selection dropping Allan for Bytel

Why?

How many goals wins the game for us on Friday? And who is going to kick those goals. We need someone to step up and kick a bag of 4-5 goals.

Focus seems more about spread of goalkickers rather than rely on anyone to kick a bag. (Wins tend toward 9 goalkickers; losses more like 6-7.)

No Pie has kicked 5 this year; only Elliott and Lipinski have kicked 4 in a game.

Ideally the Daicii & Crisp chip in for 1 each (& some bonuses from elsewhere like HH, Lipinski, Fin... + Hill, Schultz McCreery).

But if Kreuger and/or Johnson could kick 5 that can only help.

so AJ plays forward with Howe (you'd think)

2nd ruck AJ or Framps
(reckon Framps will follow Darcy into the ruck & it won't be an issue for the defence as long as English rests on the bench)

Option 2: Our heroic lads will baffle, bamboozle and battle their way masterfully past the injury-plagued, Bevo-dispirited Doggies to record a sterling thumping.

Likely scenario: a drawn-out melee that ends in yet another injury-plagued draw.

I thought we were good things before Pendles was added to the our injury list. Now I think it's 50/50. Go Pies.

So, Dean is going to cover Darcy or Lobb? Good luck. Ash isn't a tall option. He is just above a mid-sized bloke with great athleticism. Ned Long is a bigger, taller player and he's a midfielder.

Johnson is taller than Checkers.

I’d rather chat with Ash. Seems like a delightful young man. Talking to frampton just means you’re standing too close for comfort.

Dean will be fine especially with Howe back in the side, either as another defender or an option to swing back if needed.

In the absence of picking up a Teakle type player it was always likely to be frampton rucking until cox returns.

Then the choice was AJ or Freddy

When you have injuries you make sacrifices and call on your depth . And utilise your swing men

With Howe back we'll have 4 marking defenders. I don't think it would be Johnson in if Howe or Dean were going to play forward. Can't see them moving Darcy.

Unfortunately last week for Allan his selection was based more on romanticism than form. Macrae should have played last week or at worst Allan should have been sub ahead of Parker who was a shock selection as well but at least based on form
