Round 13 Trades Thread

Is any one else considering trading Selwood to D. Thomas next week or is it just me? Seems like he isn't the most popular replacement for Selwood but i think he offers a lot of upside. His form of late has been fantastic. That would leave me with Swan, Pendles and Thomas in the mids though, plus Boyd and Mitchell.

Thoughts everyone?

Sounds okay. No more byes for the black and white, and Thomas is scoring very well. Who's your cover for Selwood this week?

I did:

Out: Sandi, Lower
In: Ryder, Scotland

I dont like those trades bombermick but they could pay off

Sandilands a good chance to play next week, Mark Harvey said it would be an ideal game for him to return on channel 7. You may aswell just sat out the next week or max 2 for sandilands to return or traded him from the start of his injury. I think you wouldve been better off holding onto him.

Ryder, could very well have been dropped this week. Either him or Hille were on the chopping block and i think his versatility to play anywhere has helped him stay for another week. Trading in a player who could easily get dropped isn't a great idea and his new role isn't great for points.

Scotland i traded him in about 3-4 weeks ago and he is possibly the best defender you can get this year, so i like that you have brought him in. The fact you have traded out Lower isn't what i like, however maybe your side is extremely strong compared to others. FWIW hes avg 93 over the last 4 games and fremantle haven't exactly been flying during this time.

I used DPP to bring Goodes and Goddard into the mids. I forgot to mention i also have Montagna in the mids. So if he plays i will be fine but will be without an emergency for the midfield this week.

Thanks for the feedback.

My ranking is poor and I have to take risks, which has worked the last couple of rounds. If Sandli plays next week it will be a poor trade, but I'm not convinced he will. I had other trades to make just after his injury, with Smith's form not making it a priority. It was either making the trade or having to play Gorringe, with Cox's bye also hanging over my head. Ryder is a gamble, but one I was prepared to take with Smith excellent back-up. Ryder's versatility will probably see him playing every game, almost regardless of form, unless Gumby mysteriously stays fit and finds form in the VFL.

That cash allowed me to get Scotland. I still have Puopolo and Hibberd, but they've still got a lot more cash to make, and I'll probably upgrade one of those once they reach their max price.

No Petrie?

Just did

OUT: Knights, Mundy
IN: Howe, Boyd.

With Mzungu, Pavlich, Howe and maybe Sylvia in the team (might bring him in next week), I didn't want Knights as well, come Round 16. His value was set to drop. Maybe would have been a good F8, but what's done is done.

8 trades left, 200.1K in the bank for a double-upgrade next week, perhaps. As it stands, I'm 5K short to do Matera to Sylvia and Adcock to Shaw next week, but both Sylvia and Shaw have high BEs (112 and 158), so I should be fine :D.

I Don't think Shaw's price changes next week because he has a bye this week.

Just did:

Out:
J. Polec, Darling

In:
Sylvia, I. Smith

Leaves my forward line now:

Fyfe, Sylvia, Pavlich, Riewoldt, Chapman, Brennan, Mzungu (Lynch, Harper, Richardson)

Copping a 0 in the Ruck this week, but playing for the league win and can cope this week with it.

Darling to Sylvia
Krak to Fyfe.

I was hoping Danger to Sylvia but im short a couple thousand

Edit: actually im thinking Matera to Howe (i have smith already)instead of getting Sylvia. Thoughts???

if you can wait, go for it. sylvia has a 20 odd score still in his cycle. he will be cheaper next week. hes got a 150 break even or something

Didn't have to trade to cover for injuries so I went:

Heppell -> Delidio
Darling -> Isaac Smith

Pocketted a cool 100K too.

8 trades left.

That was similar to my first thought. Heppell and Darling out Howe and Deledio IN. But i thought about it a bit more and im thinking about going unique over Deledio and the fact i traded him out after round 3 also makes it hard to bring him back in, cost 2 trades for a massive loss.

But i ended up going
Darling > I.Smith
Matera > P.Chapman

Hopefully Chapman can reward me as he has a highish breakeven but he loves playing the saints and being tested. Wouldnt mind a similar score to what he got back in 2009 against the might of the saints.

This gives me 7 premium mids or 7 premium forwards but i like many others will never have them all playing for the rest of the season so Chapman will get used every week.

I wouldn't mind if Sylvia can just put in an avg 50-60 point score this week with a tag of hopefully Crowley or Deboer.

z smith to bailey
buckley to GAJ

leaves me now:

Gibbs, Suckling, Enright, Goddard, Heppell, Delidio, Duigan, Stanley, Adcock, Guthrie

Boyd, Thompson, Fyfe, Sylvia, GAJ, Cotchin, hibberd, jacobs, bewick

Cox Bailey Sandi McCauley

Pav, Buddy, Chappy, Nahas, Higgins. Riewoldt, Didak, Smith, Mzungu, Richarson

thinking one more upgrade in the fwd line, either mzungu or didak.

10 trades 100 k left

Not sure who to trade in for Mundy  I'm only going for league wins, but things are a little tight with 8 trades left and only $13k in the bank. With about $355k to spend my options are probably Scully, Martin, Pav, or maybe Curnow. Dal Santa would be good, but I already have Montagna/Goddard/Riewoldt

Probably Darling to Howe and Richardson to Pavlich.

Then next two weeks I'll get Pendles and Didak. team after that will be (approximately may have to do one more downgrade)

Scotland, Gibbs, Deledio, Goddard, Rawlings, Enright, Heppell, Golby, Stanley,Puopolo

Boyd, Pendlebury, Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Montanga, Hibberd, Mzungu, Smith

Cox, Griffen, Vickery, McCauley

SJ, O'Keefe, Franklin, Goodes, Pavlich, Riewoldt, Lecras, Didak, Howe, Prestia

Then will be on either 6 or 7 trades and only need to get Sandilands back in....
