Need our talls to be taking more contested marks. Lots of nearly tonight’s. Daniher(soap hands tonight), Hipwood, Big O and Fort just need to offer more.
Thought Kai was good. Unlucky not to snag one. A lot on team orientated efforta and good pressure.
Jasper looks nice. Loved his goal. Backed himself and took it well.
BIG game next week. Can’t kick like that again.

Zorko coming back is the other that could be back next week. It feels like it'll be Dev and Lohmann out which kinda makes me sad because both played well.

I'll be mad if we drop Dev. Lohmann would be unlucky but could see it happening if Zorko is available.

Went with Neale, Kiddy, Hippy, Bailey and Starce

Kiddy and Hippy were very important in the first half. Neale worked hard and played a good all round game (at least offensively). Bailey got the ball forward a heap in the second half and Starce shut out their only forward capable of winning the game for them

Reckon a lot of teams play us this way from here on in... congested ugly games. It makes us rush at times and we look clumsy but the more we deal with it the more we get used to it.

Found one in Fletcher for sure and Kai and Dev had their moments too so next week will be tough if Zorko and Lugga get up. Reckon Bez had his best game in a while too.

Kicking straight would be nice, Payne's 3 gifts didn't help... but a win is a win and it almost feels like we needed to grind one out after the last couple of weeks. The effort tonight was pleasing even if it wasn't pretty.

Our game plan sucks BIG TIME.

It genuinely inhibits players natural football instincts.

It doesn’t allow for taking the game on.

It doesn’t allow for any run and carry, unless we’re completely out in open space.

And we commit way to many players goal side in our forward 50. Which is why teams transition out of our D50 so easily.

That stood out in the first half . When we got space we couldn't implement accurately.

I think if we stick with this sort of line up we can develop a better gameplan over the next couple of years.

Too late in this season to do it effectively.

Fages: "I know Dev Robertson played really well, I liked what he did"

Bodes well for holding his spot.
Total change in messaging tonight from Fages.

Last week didn't want to talk about new ins , this week went through them by name and talked about them.

Are we sure Fages doesn't read BF ??

He did interject about our outs and put Darcy Gardiner as a significant out alongside Zorks and Clug.

Dunno myself where Dizz fits in.

Well we saw how McInerny went in the last quarter with a rest. Fort dominated ruck in the 3rd.

2 rucks is the way to go.
No.

McInerney dominated the centre bounces in the first half, yet Sydney kept winning the clearances.

Fort contributed to Sydney’s easy transition out of our forward 50, being about as slow and agile as Gunston.

But Fort was much better in the centre square and at throw ins.

I think we need to give it a chance rather than take one game as being indicative when it didn't work too badly.

Fort only needed to clunk a couple he dropped for a different picture. He's more agile than Gunston ,and a bigger threat with a few more games.
