The Angwin hate on here is ridiculous. Averages more pressure acts than Bedford, rarely turns it over or fumbles. He's never gonna be a superstar but every good side is good because of its role players, which is what he will be.
Agree. Angwin had a solid game. As did Ward who turned back the clock.

Giant mids - Briggs (16), Green (30), Callaghan (22) and Bedford (16) outplayed their highly rated opponents - Soldo (6), Horne Francis (18), Butters (17) and Rozee (14). Won the clearance count easily and ran hard both ways.

Great to see Snooze have a good game for his 50ths. His goal was all class (as was Daniels).

No one hates him.
Yep. I'm just disappointed in him. :D

I disagree about him rarely turning it over though, that's my main complaint.

His running is definitely a strong point and it's a gap at the moment, so I think he's earned his spot but I do wish we had a better option.

My take aways
Josh Kelly makes a huge difference (as does Cogs) on our ball movement. We are different side with them in.
Bedford's tagging role was terrific. Not only did he nullify Butters (and Rozee at times) they bought him more into the game and he had more ball than he has had in a while.
Buckley's run off the back is a huge weapon we missed. He is so underrated.
The ground Angwin covers is astonishing. He shut down and/or put pressure on so many of their counter attacks, twice it looked like they were through and Angwin came from no where to snuff it out.
Ward had is best game in ages. Maybe reports of his demise are premature (I at least hope so)
XOH had a different game today, he uncharacteristically was taking the composed kick inside 50 rather than battling hard in the contest. Thought it was good to see. He is coming of age.
Brent Daniels is a star. He creates so much.
Goal kicking was woeful. But it was our best finishers missing. Hogan,Toby and Riccardi are normally pretty reliable, all poor. Hopefully an aberration.
We also missed a few going inside 50 or took options to make it harder than it should have been. The 2 most obvious were Toby and Harvey Thomas both running to open goals and offloading.. Toby to Riccardi in the pocket who had a much tougher shot than Toby had and Harvey missed his man completely.
Our recent form is ok, we have beaten 2 fellow top 8 teams and lost by a kick to one of the most in form teams. 2 of which were away games.

Any chance he wins it with Reid & Darcy being ineligible?

Or I’m too drunk for a Monday night? (Last night of holidays before going back to work tomorrow - don’t judge too much)
Love the kid and the way he goes about it but we aren’t a glamour club can’t see him getting it just due to media.

Really happy for Harvey. I wondered if he was in with a chance - shortened round, so even though it wasn't an exceptional performance, it was strong in the circumstances. Great result for a pick #59.

Meanwhile, our two first round picks ...
Can’t help injuries.

Honestly think with a few praccies under his belt now his fit Leake can come from nowhere and be a serious cog in a premiership tilt.

I've heard they are still super bullish on both of them.
Fingers crossed

That gives a whole new perspective to Tom Green getting in a few push and shoves, after this it was clear he was doing exactly what the coach asked and was standing up.for Bedford.

I still think there is a missing piece of the puzzle yet to develop

Aleer could be positive and I am hoping Jones gets back to his best in that forward line

We need someone to make a leap in that midfield rotation to really shake up that top 4

Callaghan is the one. Solid contributor but we need him to take the next step.

Could snooze through the middle be the missing link 🤷 good luck to midfielders trying to defend him when we have a f50 stoppage
