actually what is happening is i think this is a more unsustainable gameplan more similar to the West Coast match. Our players barely ever took a second to slow down, always running always tackling and ran out of energy. Richmond was a much more controlled game. Fast but controlled.
Disagree, those first three quarters were some of the slowest I've seen.

Funniest post I've read all year. My thoughts as a supporter are that of the clubs. Lmao.

So you don’t think it’s likely that the players also thought at 3qtr time, “40 points up, easy win lads”?
Because that’s exactly what you thought when you made this thread is it not?

Have some respect to Collingwood when we're up by 50 at 3qtr time. You guys need to differentiate a supporters view from a players view, lmao. It's as if they saw this thread and decided to shut up shop. I'm actually in tears reading some of this stuff lmao

Can't fathom it, the only thing i can think, old players often say that they get a bit fitter each pre-season, and we have a lot who haven't had many.

Nah won’t have it nothing to do with fitness today .

We kicked sometimes to 3 on 1 in our favour and butchered it .

Billings getting worse as a player soft …

Who cares what supporters do LMAO

Like Dermie just said, junk time started late in the 3rd quarter.

We were never going to lose it, but we’ve got to get ruthless, and also look to play out 4 quarters, no matter whether the game is close, we’re down by a lot, or up by a lot.

No more picking and choosing when to have a crack- and only doing so when the game is in the balance.

Think a few too many of you campaigners have had too big of a weekend. Not the first time a team with nothing to lose has a crack in the last quarter and comes up short. At least we did enough work to win for a change instead of being absolutely pummelled.
Take the 4 points, as I said before, most of you bastards didn't even think we could win the last 2 games. So why does how much we won by mean so much?

Credit on the team for grinding out the win and holding firm. Lesson learnt, onto Brisbane next week

It's not about your thread supposedly affecting the game, it's that your thread reflects the very same attitude that's been prevalent at the club this season.

There is a point where supporters, particularly those involved with the club, have to stop and think 'why does this attitude prevail?'.

The players know percentage might keep them out of finals, then they serve up that shit.

They did the same shit against Port Adelaide. Terrible last quarter but no doubt that will be discussed in the review. Regardless our percentage does not matter, we need to make the eight on points and at the moment we're half a game out. Never seen such a response after a win.

When you have a percentage of 80% off you dont have the right to switch off at any stage. We missed a big opportunity to build some % back.

Will take that!

Steele, what a star. 36d, 14 tackles, 8clr, 3 GAs. Huge game.
Dunstan another good showing, Sinclair as well continueing his great form.
Wood and Crouch cruising along nicely, both good tonight.
Hill busy from the get go, looked like they tried to shut him down in the 2nd half and still racked up 30.
Marshall and Paddy partnership looks even sweeter when both are troubling the scorers, awesome to see.
Youngsters Byrnes and Leo didn't look out of place either.

No one really had a poor game. Butler was quiet but showed great pressure in moments and hit the scoreboard.
Billings may have been rushed back from injury, was quiet by his standards.
McKenzie and Long looked dangerous all night as well, like what they're bringing to the team.

Always good to beat this mob :)

I'm not involved with the club, I'm a regular supporter that thought 50 points was reason enough to think we won the game. And we did.

In tears reading some comments that our comments here somehow link with the players, lmao.
