In: Ldu, tucker
Out: Bergman, spicer (forever)
Needs more Perez for ziebell

For mine that’s the main change after dropping spicer for LDU

I don’t mind tucker playing as the sub instead of Bergman (but sub changes aren’t really mentioned in the ins and outs as they are outside the best 22)

I’m happy to do Perez for ziebell too but I can’t see it happening realistically

Xerri in for Goldstein. Lol.

So Goldie can kick the dew in the VFL while we go in with the formidable, mobile, skillful ruck duo of Tristan Xerri and Callum Coleman-Jones?

Even after he retires I'd be seeking weekly exemptions to play Goldstein as our 1st ruck.

I personally can't imagine a team without Goldy although I know its happening sooner rather than later. I am in denial and will stay that way until the end whenever that may be. I don't care if he is beaten sometimes and/or has an off game. I don't think some people realise how irreplaceable he is.

refer to round 1
Xerri gives our midfield another dimension, goldy is replaceable.

We will lose an extra runner type but gain a physical presence and one better marking target around the ground

I'd like to see Harvey come in for Spicer....consistently kicking goals, but I also like his tackle count is building....team high 6 on the weekend and has some strength to stick them too.

LDU, Tucker, and Perez need to come in too.......dunno who else goes out.

Harvey has done enough at this point for a shot in the AFL to see how he does at the level, Spicer has shown enough that you can be confident he's never going to be an AFL footballer, easy swap. Corr out as the weakest tall in a too top-heavy backline, Bergman to start in the side instead. LDU in, personally I'd drop McDonald for him but that probably won't happen.
brother, I mostly love your work, but not on this one; if Spicer is all defensive pressure and not much else, Cooper is the reverse - good with a set shot, and not too much chasing. Him and Paul Curtis in the same team is an invitation for the opposition to waltz it out of D50 any way they like

you may be right but I'd rather he had a chance to demonstrate that at the top level and be judged based on how he does. I don't think Spicer actually offers that much defensive pressure, he often runs past the ball instead of going for tackles and isn't big enough to actually physically disrupt some of the guys he does catch. After he was subbed off, they didn't suddenly start scoring freely, if anything we did.

This I like. The only query is whether he's still dealing with OP
Full vfl game and his pace is up.

I do mostly agree, but Cooper was much better on the weekend.

We would be a 3-4 goal worse side if we didn't have Goldie and BMac (and replaced them with X and a defender from the vfl).

We can't afford to be a 3-4 goal worse side.

X can replace CCJ when he is fit enough - probably a few weeks away.

If Bmac exercises FA then we worry about it then - until then he is second picked in our defence.

Team high 6 tackles on the weekend......he's a kid, and sounds like he might be working hard to address deficiencies and that should be rewarded.

English in the coaches votes, Goldy nup. Not sure why posters think Goldy was good, his taps went no where as usual and offers no protection in the clearances. Just taps and sits there.
