Yipppieee....this week has gone on foreverrrrrr. Lets de-halo those saints.😇😒

A home game away from home BUT in reality a home game for 'man of the day' Zorko. Although having a poor game from a commentator's perspective last week where they don't recognise the 12 tackles, that wont be the assessment this week. Zorko at his best, Lyons with a gentle reminder that ground used to be graced by a now, elite midfielder and a stifling backline with the element of speed back - Lions draw away with relentless pressure and win by 24 points.

Expecting a close game for most of the match but we’ll win it in a big quarter. Their midfield is pretty good and their rucks will likely get on top. Steele is an absolute beast.

Our gun forwardline will win it for us but their backline is pretty reasonable and they have a few forwards who are pretty capable.

I'm on the Sunshine Coast and it's very windy here this morning, looking at the Gold Coast wind forecast it might be as strong or stronger tonight during the game View attachment 1174249
Yes if the wind keeps up it makes it a bit tricky at Metricom
The big screen end is open so that does bring the wind more into play unlike the Gabba
Both teams have to cope so we should be okay
No easy AFL games so the boys will have to play this one right to the end
In round 13 last year we were expected to win comfortably but we just got home by 2 points at The Gabba
A good start will help and slowly get the upper hand

Wind will reduce the humidity and therefore dew? Or is that not such an issue this time of year?

St Kilda have just as much to play for as we do and conditions will be trying as they usually are at Metricon whatever the weather.

So I'm expecting a tough game because they have a whole lot more talent than say Adelaide who kept up with us for a half.

They're capable of scoring well enough if they get adequate supply so a lot rests on Oscar and the M/F group tonight, as it usually does.

We've got too much talent forward for their backs if we get it there often enough and we execute reasonably imo.

Saints been good last fortnight - seemed to have injected a tougher approach to their game that was missing early in the season. Whether they can maintain that for 4 qtrs against us the big question. Think we have been good at grinding teams and running over them after half time. Reckon tight first half then hoping we run over the top of them.

We shouldn't need incentive at any time especially when top 2 spot is up for grabs but being Zorks milestone game I'm hoping that gives us even 2% better effort to reward him with a win.

Oscar will have a harder task this week v Ryder & Marshall
In the last 3 weeks Oscar has got his TOG up to where it needs to be as a number 1 ruck
Last three 90%, 86% and last week 91% so average last three of 89%
Which means Joe spends more time forward

Joe was at 2 of 29 centre bounces last week. Oscar clearly working hard. Think he needs to focus on rucking and conserving his energy otherwise.

Finally over his ankle complaint from earlier in the year.

Dew only comes to Metricon for Suns games.
