My stab at changes:
OUT: Battle (conc.), Ross (knee), Hill (knee)
IN: Cordy, Jones, Paton
Sharman can stay as sub. Though poor early he settled into the game and some benefit of the doubt in it had been a while since playing as a KPD. Peris could be an option for sub but would need Gresh to play more mid time if so.

I really think we should be looking to give Phillipou a rest or move him to sub as has been falling away and impacting less, and hasnt been that great through mids imo. Give him a short stint in VFL to tear it up and come back firing. But as one of RTB's favourites I dont see it happening.

Hope we dont go Highmore. Will need a 2 big defenders to keep track of Grundy/Gawn and Brown. Even more so if they pick JVR as well. Cordy's one-on-one defense could be quite useful.

Think playing Campbell would make us too tall unless Owens doesnt get up.

Why are we even bothering with Ross if he's under a cloud? He's extremely lucky to be in the side as it is. Jones can take his place, rest the knee and come back via the VFL this time.
We need Ross' tremendous leadership obviously

They have the second highest interceptor in the comp in Lever. Top for average intercepts per game:

9.33: Sicily (22 against us)
8.93: Lever (not played yet)
8.87: Ballard (8 against us)
8.80: Wilkie
8.67: Moore (9 against us)
8.40: Balta (10 against us)
8.15: Vlastuin (11 against us)
7.87: Aliir (6 against us)
7.64: Stewart (not played yet)
7.53: Andrews (14 against us)

Seems unlikely Lever will have less than 10 intercepts, probably more like 15 if history is any guide. We're very good at making guys look like stars.
Suprised May isnt in that list but he'll give King a ****ing bath on current form.

Suprised May isnt in that list but he'll give King a ******* bath on current form.
As long as King occupies him.
If he also drifts off him and takes intercepts then we are stuffed.
Need to make May and Lever accountable

8 point game, a chance to take 4th.

Gotta throw caution to the wind and have a real crack so if its Gawn and Grundy v Marshall and some midget then the membership's in the microwave.

Campbell must be starting 22 even if we take a punt on subbing him out at half time.

In Cordy, Jones and Campbell.

As long as Byrnes isn't sub, that's not too bad.

We'll miss Hill and Higgo

Makes us unpredictable. Perhaps not in a good way. Seriously though, Hill provides so much of our run. We seem to have gone for a more contested side I guess to combat Melbourne's wrong contested game? Higgins will hurt our scoring.

Good team. We’ll either sink or swim but I reckon we’ve given it our best chance.

Battle, Hill and Higgins are big outs but looking at every line I still like what I see. Reckon we can cover them all tbh, Hill the hardest to but Naisah and Sinclair are in great form, and Billings and Jones can hopefully pick up the slack.

I really like that team. Like the Cordy inclusion. The selection squeeze is coming and players need to step up or they're gone (Byrnes this week).

Clark as an emergency is interesting.

I haven't watched much of the Dees but happy to see Harmes out as he always kills us.

No Hill is going to hurt us more than many predict. He is very important for us.
What happened to Higgo? I didn't realise he was injured?

Zones looked good at VFL, his burst will be helpful. F**k any change up in the mids is good right now.

JB has looked meh at VFL, hope he goes well.

Still reckon we get pumped in the mids, and May/Lever take eleventy billion intercepts, but I'm keen to see those ^ players get a crack, Sharman to hold his spot, and King Cords to get us back playing like we did before he was dropped ;)

Did Highmore sleep with RTBs wife can’t buy a game the poor kid

We don’t need him in our current set up. He can’t defend 1 on 1.

Melbourne have only 1 tall forward and Grundy/Gawn. Howard and Cordy have that covered. Wilkie has the intercepter, NWM has the rebounder. We are set.
