Wow we have made a massive statement in our selections after last week. It just shows you that our match committee have zero confidence in our young brigade. Its going to be a long time before we can even think about pushing for a finals berth.

Lets start with some depressing reading today. Players this week under 25

West Coast Eagles
Bailey Williams
Tyler Brockman
Brady Hough
Campbell Chesser
Jack Williams
Reuben Ginbey
Harley Reid
Jack Hutchison

Fremantle
Andrew Brayshaw
Sam Sturt
Michael Frederick
Jordan Clark
Caleb Serong
Hayden Young
Jeremy Sharp
Luke Jackson
Heath Chapman
Josh Treacy
Matt Johnson
Jye Amiss
Josh Draper

Guys I think we are a bit umm behind the pack at the moment

Getting ready to head to the MCG today.

Looking forward to seeing: Harley Reid

Hoping to see: Massive improvement on last week, maybe even a miraculous Eagles win

Expecting to see: A significant loss, bad enough to leave a sour taste in the mouth but not quite bad enough to see the coach sacked. Press conferences full of learnings and ownings. Match committee responding by dropping whoever was the sub after they failed to get ten possessions in the twelve minutes they played.

It's a very game day with a very game coach!
We haven't won an away game all season, so the odds aren't in our favour.
Goodwin and his cohorts are waiting for Harley this time, and no doubt have a few surprises waiting for us at their home ground.
We had a good win several weeks ago against the Demonics with a team that played very differently to last weeks team.
It can be done. Depends what team turns up, how switched on they are and if there's any substance to all the rumours about player investment and coach.
A hard fought competitive loss would be expected as the bottom line.
A win would be exceptional and build some confidence going forward.
A bad loss (getting smashed) to me seems unlikely, but not impossible.
If it happens then it confirms the obvious and the inevitable, the floodgates of discontent will open and the coaches exit will be stamped, you'd think? (if not already)
Umm, go the Eagles.

You are a hero amongst men.

So this is is what optimistically delusional looks like. 24 months ago id have respected the grit and passion. Now I just find it depressing.

We will and hopefully will get smashed off the park. No good can come from any other result. Harsh but its the reality

A lot of whining in this thread already. Hopefully the boys learned something from last week. The effort was there but needs to be better all over the ground. Forward line being a little less mobile will be interesting.

And we are the ones in a rebuild 😅

Melbourne have the consistency of a turd after eating servo food. We should be competitive today.

I like the analogy but our blokes are luke-warm garbage.

If Melbourne come out and play with intensity for the first 5 minutes that will be enough to have the bulk of our lot switch off for the day.

We're going to get flogged without a whimper because that is our "brand". A few players, Gov, Yeo, Reid, Jake - if he gets up somehow - will try their guts out and the passengers will passenge their little tootsies off.

WAFL form backed up the judgement. But it is worth sending a message to the 22 - week as water last week not show us something.

"Its disappointing but we are going to own it. Tomorrow im going to eat the pink snapper instead of the goldband snapper for dinner. Simmo said he is flying economy instead of business class too. We need to make sacrifices if we are to get where we need to be"
