More a reflection of the rest of the squad though
Some may not agree but I’d take Linc over Bobby Hill and pretty much every small forward in the comp every day of the week. His importance to our forward line shouldn’t be underestimated

Super consistent and does so much of the grunt stuff most don’t notice.

Does most things better than every other small forward in the comp and manages that while being 4th/5th in line up front for us.

Almost wonder if tomorrow we should send Dunkley to Dawson, and have him stay on Dawson if he goes into defence after the centre bounce. Dunkley is good overhead and would be a good match up forward of the ball for us I think, and may be able to quell Dawson's influence as a rebounding spare man.

Dunkley can swap with, say, Ashcroft, when this happens.

And Berry to Rankine, except handing over to Starce when Rankine goes forward, like a few have been saying.

Bit undecided about key defensive match ups. Might depend on how fit Jack actually is.

I honestly think we should go head to head and put it on the mids to put the foot down and beat them at the source. I think we'll absolutely be on for this one. The 9 day break will no doubt help too.

That said, contingencies will be important - especially if Rankine gets on top. I think we'll be on though and win by 30+ on the back of a dominant midfield performance.

It looks like we get caught out worrying about matchups on occasion so head to head from the get go would be a good gauge to see where we are actually at.

Absolutely. I think our mids were put on notice by Fagan and half time then responded well. I don't think they'll let that happen again. They're up against a strong midfield and know they'll need to be on.

Plus another week into Will helps.

0.5 free kicks against per game this season. This would include kicks out on the full.

2.5 turnovers per game from an average of 11.3 disposals per game. So 22%.

I don't think that's unreasonable for the role he plays, where most of the ball he gets is usually going to be under pressure. You may have been a bit busy watching Froggy.
I think you will find kicks out on the full by a player are not classed as frees against that player on their stats sheet.
This came as a surprise to me earlier in the year when i noticed in one of Berrys games where he kicked it out on the full about 3 times in one quarter. Had 1 or 2 others apart from those from memory. Can't remember which game.
Checking the stats after that quarter he only had 1 free against at that time. I believe it goes down as a clanger.
But deliberate out of bounds free kick is recorder as a free against the player on their stats.
50-meter penalties also listed as clangers which i was also unaware of.

AFL
Clangers

An error made by a player resulting in a negative result for his side. Disposal clangers are any kick or handball that directly turns the ball over to the opposition. Frees and 50-metre penalties against, No Pressure Errors, Dropped Marks and Debits are all included in clangers.

Clangers

Clanger kicks, clanger handballs and clanger kick-ins are also included in clangers totals.
Free Against - Conceding a free kick to the opposition via an error
50m Penalty - Conceding a more severe or secondary free kick that advances the opposition 50m forward. I couldn’t reverse engineer D50/F50 splits for these
Dropped Mark - Dropping an uncontested mark
Dropped Mark (Gain) - Dropping an uncontested mark but picking it up uncontested. Counted as a clanger if it’s inside F50 which is why it is equivalent to normal dropped marks. The gain itself is scored as a possession
Debit - Ruining a teammate’s chance at an uncontested mark by going for the mark too
No Pressure Error - Dropping the ball and losing possession under no pressure

I think he is. Noah Answerth couldn’t lock down a bicycle. He specialises in giving away free kicks and dump kicks out of defence either straight to an opponent or out on the full. Too harsh? 😂
Noah was able to keep Wutti to a couple of touches and a behind, at the height of his powers, a few years back. Literally fixed his disposal over an offseason.

If anyone is even close to what you describe, it’s starce. He’s gone from one of the best lockdown defenders to being more of an all rounder. Not a bad change, but the coaches still expect him to play that lockdown role, which he can’t do as effectively anymore. Answorth is the better choice as a lockdown role.

It's just a poor call. We all have them from time to time.
Just wait ‘till 3KZ judges your footy knowledge based on the age of your bf account. Happened ages ago, still full of bad calls.
