I'll be watching Jesse Lonergan this weekend
$308k with a BE of 112

I'm assuming he gets time on-ball with the Suns having so many injuries
A 70+ score would be enough to grab my attention

I'll sit him on my mid bench for cover.. he also opens up a def/mid link

inb4 he scores 40 lel
Dont get that flog. I've kept him for too long before i've traded him. Total waste & he will find a reason to disappoint you

Jesse Lonnefault had a few games where GC had no midfield and he still stunk it up.

Don't do it man.
I didn't start with him so he hasn't burnt me at all
thoughts he'd pump out some 80/90s playing mid, but I just had a look and he's a huge spud, even playing pure mid lol

thanks lads

Coniglio, Rockliff, Gray or Priddis as my final mid upgrade?

Or wait 1 week for Jelwood?

No response :'( So done some further analysis myself...

Removed the following from my shortlist:
- Jelwood (can't afford and likely to not be able to afford next week either)
- Coniglio (too many GWS players in my team: Shaw & Ward)
- Priddis (injury cloud and under performing)

That leaves..
- Rocky... has Essendon, Port Adel, Adelaide, Carlton, Geelong for the run home. Has averaged 116sc against these 5 teams in their past 3 encounters.

- Gray... has GWS, Brisbane, Syd, Mel, Adel for the run home. Has averaged 117sc against these 5 teams in their past 3 encounters.

Leaning towards Gray. He has three top 8 teams in his next 5 games, but has performed well against Sydney (126avg last 3 games) and loves the Adel showdown (128 avg last 3 games). With Port contending for finals, I don't see him slowing down. Plus, Rockys injuries have burned me many times in the past.

Definitely overthinking this, just need to make myself feel better about not getting Jelwood

tl;dr - Robbie Gray or Rockliff as final mid premo? Thinking Gray.

Both good picks but Rocky has the higher ceiling which could win you a final.

Priddis underperforming???

Tonned up 8/9 including 110, 122, 126 last 3 weeks & barring the one mare where Mitch Robbo towelled him (and he's not on his pat there) he's been rock solid!

Very true, now we're back at square one :drunk:

Ah very true, rushed analysis there/bad statement. Had a slow start to the year (after the Brisbane game). Main concern was the corky he got on the weekend. Probably should chuck him back in the mix.

All good picks I guess, minor difference in the end.

With retro round coming up...
I reckon NSWCROW and gutsroy can come up with Ace retro memes.

Got to think some more about what's retro, struggled a bit for inspiration tonight...

If you think Rocky's body can hold up until season's end, grab him due to his higher ceiling

6 trades, 63k left with these bunch of faults:

qmOBDyq.jpg

Clearly my biggest issue is Deledio who I highly doubt will play this week. His injury smells suspiciously like a one week which turns into a few. I'm going for overall so can't really afford to play a gimp on the field even if it is SP Menafault. Looking at burning 2 trades which isn't exactly ideal:

Collins to Ubergang
SP Menfault to Howe

Leaves me with 100k and DPP cover for DEF/FWD. Howe covers Deledio until he's back and then Yeobot becomes a D7 loophole option. Other open is just turfing Deledio to Buddy and sitting at 5 trades.

I think you're right about Lids.

The trades make sense provided Howe retains his form. Would give you decent cover DEF and FWD.

Rocky. I believe the disturbance in the force over at Brissy is on the mend, so should start to knuckle down with good scores.

I have Barlow and 3 trades left. If I upgrade him to a MID I have no DPP and an iffy bench. I don't have enough cash to get Pendles though, so I'm using 2 trades to sure up by team a bit.

Kade Stewart to Naismith via Phillips gives me a DPP on my MID bench and a little extra cash. It also gives me DPP from FWD/Ruck in case Gawn or Goldy miss.

Then went Barlow to Pendles. This is my team now:

image.jpeg image.jpeg

OUT: Zahacancer, Collins
IN: S.Mitchell, Broad.

I'm probably getting caught up in all the Mitchell love in the media this week but jeez he seems back to his best.
The trades do cull me of a playing bench spot, unless Broad gets back in? What are the chances?
Leaves me with 2 trades and a bench of:
DEF: Broad, Lee
MID: Stewart, Trengove, Phillips
RUC: Grimley
FWD: Cox, Silvagni
Silvagni the only one getting games atm! How did it come to this? :'(

Do Cox > Naismith and SMitchell in if you cant afford him there are plenty of options in the 500-540k range.

Gives you a playing bench of Collins, Naismith & Silvagni.

First Trade: Barlow to Premo (Most likely Bontempelli).

Second Trade Option (a): Cox to Naismith - Keeps dpp cover FWD/RUC in case Goldy is rested. Frees up some extra cash.

Second Trade Option (b): Jansen to Hammelmann via Phillips dpp - keeps dpp link between MID/FWD. Opens dpp link between DEF/FWD w/ Adams.

Not sure which of the two second trade options to go with. Desperately need Lids to get up this week otherwise will be playing Phillips/Cox/Naismith/Hammelmann on the field...

Any advice fellas?
