We probably can’t have gotten Port at a better time.

We’d need to improve our skills and connection a hell of lot to snatch this, but I sure hope the boys give it a shake.
Aliir out but Gray, Duursma, Rozee + McKenzie all still a chance to play. Let's hope they take a whole bunch of semi injured players in and we punish them.

If you dropped Worpel it would give Finn a look at midfield minutes. His disposal couldn't be any worse than Worpel's and he would at least provide more run.
Finn was actually the worst disposal efficiency on the ground at one point but improved as the game went on, until it was above 50% and above 6 others. (7 if you count Mackay who didn't have a disposal and hence was pretty inefficient.) Jack Gunston's disposal was worse.

In: Breust, McEvoy, Day
Out: Lynch(inj), Maginness, Worpel

maybe play Hartigan on Dixon or could Frost do the job?
Dixon won't be out there.

Finn worked really hard all game and got to some really good spots on the ground, I did notice at the game that his team mates didn't use him when he was well in the clear, maybe they didn't trust him or maybe he was just trying to spread the opposition as per coaches instructions - I don't know.
As we know his disposal was diabolical. It wasn't just the disposal though - his awareness and composure was bad too.
Give him another go - see if he builds confidence - nothing to lose.

Why see if we can beat an average team - we need to challenge ourselves - I hope we play their best side at this stage of the re-build.

If we were playing them in a final - I'd love the outs ;)

I guess this is fair, but at the same time the slim chance to go 2-0 helps take a little pressure off us for the rest of the year and maybe the coaching staff can be a little more daring with selection or game plan over the course of the year because of it.

I remember being 3-1 after 4 Rds in 2020……

İ have no problem seeing worps getting a couple of weeks at Box Hill. I don't think he has credits at all. Needs a little whack just to let him know that he isn't a walk up start every week. He and Jaeger were really poor today.
Agreed, it could be good for him although not because I think he thinks he's a walk up start. My guess is that complacency isn't his problem. Sam Mitchell hinted a while back that if anything Worpel overtrains. He doesn't seem to be enjoying his footy as much as he used to and is clearly out of form so a spell at Box Hill could allow him to reset a bit, take off some of the pressure which he might be putting on himself. I'm a big fan of Worpel - would love to see him get back to his best.

Close to how i'd line up (especially Dylan Moore at CHF which I love).

One of Maginness, Worpel and Macdonald might have to miss which I don't like.
