Just stepped out to pack the car ready for the game with the glare, 600% humidity, sniffly 8-month-old on my arm and tickets in the sun. I quickly lost the battle between the ears and am back on the couch setting up Kayo and aircon. Sad to miss the flag unfurling but that is a reward for the devoted. Go Lions!

It's nice to see Fagan embracing early debuts this season, definitely taking last season's learnings onboard. Levi was always going to debut in Round 1, Day coming back was a given but Will was a surprise.

Not that the team list is always fully accurate, but it has Bruce starting in the half forward line, Ah Chee on the wing and Fletcher on the bench. Maybe Fletcher does go back.

oh boy, that flag unfurling was spine tingling stuff, the way it was done was awesome.....seeing Blacky and Lynchy come out with the cup then handing over to Charlie, Kai and Brandon had me with the biggest smile while tears rolled on the cheeks..
