You must be serious. No dad joke.
275 games in the job without a single grand final - there's more chance of me making love to Jennifer Hawkins, than there is of Hinkley winning a flag :).

The first thing I thought when he did it was "Is that a bit floggish like Akker?" quickly followed by "Hell No! Winning goal in a match that literally nobody said we could win - no more perfect time for it and perfectly acceptable "

I took it as more a **** you to all and sundry. When you talk shit about how bad a group of players are for months, that’s what you get when they prove you wrong day 1.

Just need to bring that Q3 and Q4 pressure right from the start.

Fawcett and Armstrong just need to smash packs relentlessly

Don’t care if they don’t mark it themselves, just don’t let port defenders mark with ease.

Bauer to camp on Aliir.

We do that and we will fall off the cliff. Young teams tend to go flat out at start and get rolled. Secret to our win was we started slow and gradually picked up. Blues were stuffed at half time and we ran rings around them. Composure not madness needed.

We either need to keep the ball away from Aliir Allir or play one of Armstrong or the Tap on him. Would be so satisfying if one of our rookies pushes him out of a marking contest and clunks it himself.
Allir Allirr is not the only one - Etmagleur played a blinder against Richmond last year - he will definetely test Richmonds younger inexperienced forwards - I would tell his direct opponent to take him to the boundary line and keep him out of play !

Geelong played that way. First half if they were thereabouts they would then overcome their opponents in the 2nd half. I saw that with them, especially in the last 3-4 years.

Not sure if this is a Serpel initiative but it could work with young teams to preserve some energy and then go hammer and tong in the second half.
