Wish we had more games at the G, but its not like the Tigers are going to be filling the joint today even half the bandwagoners. Hoping we get a professional W and start a march into September. I believe

COME ON LIONS!!

Win all four remaining….

I'm pretty pessimistic about our chances today, just don't think we have the gut defensive run to go with the Tigers if they play near their best footy, here's hoping my footy knowledge is at its customary level and I'm dead wrong.

Lllllllllllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnssssssssssssss!

It’s round 19. Just the third of only four games of the season our loyal melbourne based members get to see the boys. Second game for me, couldn’t get to the Dees game thanks to the ****ing floating fixture.

A win today should ensure the double chance. It would all but snuff out any hope Richmond have of making the 8, and would help them to finish 9th. If we don’t win we cannot be seen as a legit flag hope.

Perfect opportunity to make a statement today.

Or are we going to start extremely slow as is our way, cautiously go with them for a quarter and a half, concede a run of 5-6 consecutive goals either side of half time to get the crowd right behind them, kick a couple at the end to bring the margin back to 20, and bemoan at the end of the game that our usual passengers are once again passengers?

You know, a typical MCG game for us, or where we have a modicum of pressure applied to us.

Suffice to say, I’m not confident.

I think we'll play slow and in "our way" as usual. I'm just hoping the phase where we change gears and get on a roll we kick a few. It just needs to catch fire across the group. Our forward line can truly come to its own during this window.

Geelong's third quarter yesterday is a good example of how we play when we're on, blink and they were off to the races.

I hope the players are focusing on this as just another item on the checklist.

I fear they'll freak out if they are thinking this a line in the sand for the season.

Nothing new here boys, just another in a long list of firsts. You've done this, you've got this.

Lions by a nail biting five points.

Read the Tigers preview thread for a laugh, they are melting about Mathieson in the team :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Picked up this weather prediction as well, might work in our favor if skills are going to be scrappy. We are used to playing in greasy Gabba conditions.

Matho to get on few opposition player's faces and get us all the frees. I'm sure Baker remembers this haha.

Thats how I feel. And it is the Tigers season on the line... The law of averages says you can't throw four games in a row down the drain. Three in a row is unheard of.

You could look at it the other way too. Once the rot sets in, players start doubting the way they play, kicks missing targets etc. I think we are getting Tigers at the right time compared to them walking in with a couple of wins. Confidence should be pretty low.

Is this where we experiment with absurdist comedy? I'll go first:

It's been done friend. Get your own jokes.
