Never liked Hardwick as a player, was a faux tough-man. He was the kind of player that would go into a contest knees first. Kevin Sheedy certainly left his mark.

The modern day Richmond are no different, bunch of snipers. Grimes’ surname depicting the regular cheap shots he dishes out at the bottom of a pack.

Coleman is one our most important players, crucial in our transition from defence. I expect them to go after him today so hopefully Kiddy has eyes in the back of his head. Matho also has a target on his back.

We need to replicate what Melbourne did against Freo with regards to our attack on the contest. Has to be uncompromising in its hardness and commitment.

Pls pls pls no Fort as medisub. Just no. Is it just me or is this one of the worst strategies ever. So blatantly dumb it's not even funny.
I agree. I’m not a fan. I don’t mind the two-ruck option but not as a sub.

I think someone like Prior, Cockatoo, and dare I say, Matho, are perfect subs in our best 23 if they don’t make the final side. Provide a hard edge and some extra run when there are tired legs.

I get the feeling Fagan is more concerned by covering our tall position stocks in case of injury, which is fair enough.

I know I’m in the minority but I actually don’t mind the Fort as sub move. Having fresh legs in the very first contest of every stoppage is a bigger advantage than having fresh legs on a flank somewhere imo.
There is some merit to it. Last week when rich went down fort come in and smashed a few ruck contests for sure. My biggest concern is lack of versatility. If any of our mids, wings, half backs or half forwards go down we instantly become slower then we already are.

I get that as well but I think there’s enough versatility within the squad to cover a mid or flanker going down. If there was an injury at the start of the game then I could see lack of run becoming an issue throughout the game though.

quad tightness

Don't like Fort as the sub, we could be caught out massively if a smaller player goes down, we would be far too slow and immobile. I wasn't confident going into this game, Starce out makes a win even more unlikely... leaves a lot of work to Kiddy Coleman to distribute from behind the ball.

Watch Zorko get injured in the first 5 minutes again and then having to replace him with Fort #FFS
