go take a look at facebook once in a while. as soon as hanners comes up people get pretty hyperbolic themselves about him. Though I admit I probably used too strong a wording on this forum. Have been browsing the facebook pages when Bigfooty is quiet and its really been melting my brain
Worst suggestion i've seen on here in a long time.

Far worse than the usual, "go *&^% yourself " which isn't as bad as it sounds.

If only we could clone Sinclair and have one of them in the midfield and one at half back, another one up forward would be handy too.

He gets a lot of the ball off the backline, but i think its a different thing to winning it out of the middle.

Feel a bit for Campbell because I’m not sure why we even recruited him if we were never going to give him a fair go. But at the same time I feel like Marshall solo rucking is the way the forward for the team.

Owens is the more attractive in to me giving us the extra dimension up forward and another midfielder.
I am sure Campbell knew why he was recruited.

But apparently our midfield is s**t but don't change anything. Okay.
Not sure it's shit it's just not that great.

One thing that looks to have improved is Steele. Seems to have been slow coming back of the shoulder but if he can bring last week's form to the rest of the year it will improve the midfield drastically.

Also, if Marshall gets on a roll in the ruck.

Anyone else think Hawthorn were taking the p1ss when they drafted Mitchell Lewis?

Turns out he can play a bit

They have done well to pick up some quality youngsters despite not having many top draft picks. Newcombe looks like being a gun midfielder for them and they got him in the mid season draft last year. Having a good culture as well as good coaches helps when it comes to developing their youngsters.

They may be down towards the lower end of the ladder but they have been playing some good football and won't be easybeats on Saturday, we may have beaten them easily last time but we were playing better back then and they are playing better now so the gap between us has closed considerably.

Since when does wanting to keep the best half back in the comp at half back mean not wanting any improvement to the midfield?

Just because someone disagrees with your notion that Sinclair should be moved, doesn't mean they are happy with the current midfield group.

So you’d rob Peter to pay Paul?
Was that in the new or old testament? Just checking ;)

I suppose you are allowed to use that term, after all due to American Judasim I tend to use a lot of yiddish terms in my slang, like the Schlemiel I am? :D

Apparently our forward is no good but people seem happy with Sharman back. Maybe we should chuck battle forward.

So you are saying the coaches are no much chop. Thanks for agreeing with me.

That could make an excellent plan B.

Plan A, we are looking grim towards the end of 1/4 1. Move Membrey back.
Plan B, halfway through 1/4 2 , we are struggling to score, Move Sharman forward.

My boss is a massive Hawks supporter, and he thought it was hilarious that they got Mitchell Lewis, Tom Mitchel, and a young Sicily who reminded him of Brereton.

Well, if you say so…

I would’ve used the word shmuck personally, but I’d never be so rude …😉🤣

(Why American Judaism though? Yiddish is a German derivative - although Jews everywhere sprinkle the words throughout our speech. There are some great words )

Well always loved Laverne and Shirley you know = Shlemiel, schlemazel, hasenpfeffer incorporated etc etc

American Judaism because of all the cultural imperialism from the states, I know Yiddish is German derivative but tHe jEwS rUn mOvIeS AnD tV ;) :D :D

Yes I think it will be a close game this week. Hawks have recovered pretty well imo and winning culture has a lot to do with it.

You could say our football club is a real schmozzle full of shlemiel's. And as the Saints has a big Jewish following and past players we are entitled to use it.

I know this is a football forum but just finished the Roland Perry biography of Sir John Monash, you being a Saffie might not know of him (probably do) but that he is not more revered in Australia is astonishing.

I would say after reading the bio, the greatest Australian to ever have lived.

Why didn't they adopt Dummkopf?
Dummkopf is a great word.

Definitely know about him. Not all the details - but yes, he appears to have been a man amongst men.
Or, as you may want to say now that you're into your Yiddish, a real "mentsch". Don't get higher praise than that.
