Well, if you say so…

I would’ve used the word shmuck personally, but I’d never be so rude …😉🤣

(Why American Judaism though? Yiddish is a German derivative - although Jews everywhere sprinkle the words throughout our speech. There are some great words )
Is dim sim a Jewish word. I’d ask dad but he ain’t here anymore.

I'd put my best player on ball. Easier to defend a ball from your forward line and 5 goals up than stop a barrage.
It’s a tough one. Who’s to say he’ll be the best player when playing more midfield?
His attack from defence is one of our strongest weapons.

We want to play finals and he outperformed everyone else that could replace Billings/Gresham aside from possibly Owens. I wouldn’t be upset to see Owens and Wang-Mil be the ins but if we’re picking the best team to win the game and give ourselves a shot at finals still Hanners is a pretty easy in this week.
Would be very concerned about him running out a game, and he is very slow. Probably gets 15 meh touches whilst his direct opponent completely burns him on the spread.

Old man Hanners is cooked, stick a fork in him

It's quite odd to get to this stage of the week and not hear anything official about Gresh. Have to assume he's out along with Billings.

I'm really excited to see what Owens can do in the side. I think Hannebery is a no-brainer, we're pushing for finals and we need to try to get better in the next four weeks and he is someone that can possibly do that.

I assume Long stays sub as he has been killing it in that role. Kind of shit for him, but handy for the side if we need him to come on.

Their forwards are a worry, luckily we have Wilkie and Battle in good form so I think we can handle them. I suspect Sharman gets another week in the back line until Dougs comes back.

Midfield will be key, we need our guns up and firing like last week. Feels like another week where King could go bonkers, but that's kind of every week these days and he's generally just solid.

Just had a look at the draw and obviously a win and then a Dogs loss would be great, but if the Crows could beat the Blues it would also provide another little window.

Was BOG in our only finals win in the past decade
Certainly don't remember him having a good game, had to look it up. Had 19 possessions and zero tackles.

Zero tackles actually proves my point, couldn't catch a tortoise. Absolute liability on the spread.

His direct opponents would have torched him 100%.

I think its your memory that's cooked.
He hasn't really played badly at all, its always been the injuries.

You cherry picked the only game he played for the Saints without a tackle.

The last game he played for us was Fremantle last year.
10 contested possessions, 6 clearances , and just for you, a tackle.

I like Long being a permanent sub. Rough for him but teams still haven't quite figured out the tactical importance of having a versatile sub who can impact in that role - the chopping and changing each week is shit for team structure. Long is perfect in that he can play any position and comes in absolutely flying. If anyone isn't quite up to first team selection don't waste their time by using them in that role - let them have a run in the twos.

He was classed as an elite wingman years ago, he is good enough to play most positions
I would like him to play more midfield minutes if possible

Not sure we need Cambell, have always preferred seeing Marshall go up by himself, he seems to always lift!
Hanners doesn't make us worse, let's hope he can provide a bit of spark and do some nice things in and under.
Sucks to see Gresh out long term but reckon we can cover Billings quite easily.
Thought Byrnes would get another crack but he can't cement a spot, which could be why he can't find any consistency yet but I think he has talent.
Saints by 35

Don't love the Campbell inclusion but.i guess it's horses for courses with their rucks. Still think we'd be better off to go Marshall one out and back him in.

Devastated for Gresh. Five month rehab so joins full training in the new year. Poor fella, he has worked so hard.
