Is this our worst loss to Freo since the home final nightmare?

Correct answer is every loss to them is shit - but this is elephant shit

Must be still in a heavy training phase...sure hope it ends soon.
Can barely play.

No, that's an excuse for the desperado.

We've lost our way. We got the jump on a competition amongst average teams, but have been exposed as a slow side who prefer to play sideways and backwards, and without a sincere work ethic.

We had a formula that was working well and we should have stuck to it.

- Bringing Bews back in to the side brought us to critical mass of poor ball users off half back.
- Stanley is erratic but the dynamism of his follow-up work was a crucial ingredient for us. Smith is ludicrously uncoordinated below the knees and simply cannot take an overhead mark
- Constable never should have been dropped; his presence rejuvenated our midfield and eased the pressure on Danger and Kelly. "Oh he's poor on the spread" blah blah blah...
- Only one of Guthrie and S.Selwood should be in the side.
- Etc

Don't play kids better to stick with oldies or half fit players.

especially the kids who got you top of the ladder... and the oldies who continue to shit the bed in finals and can't stand up to pressure.
We've literally taken a side that was fresh and new and exciting and GOOD, and replaced it with the shit slow and lazy 2018 side.

Although given how much better we were at the start of the year

1 - We were extremely efficient early in the year, which was never going to last
2 - I'm wondering if we got all those sides playing us with sub-par performances
3 - Our intent has dropped through the floor - offensively and defensively

We're playing easy football. We're arriving, hoping the opposition doesn't work hard, therefore we win on the basis of talent. We like it bruise free, 'nice', easy, etc.

This is Chris Scott's way, he's all steam out the ears but weak as piss. He NEVER challenges this side to work hard, NEVER drops senior players who don't perform in the effort stakes.
