But he's watched his own career highlight tape three times a day in the last 2 weeks, so he will be mentally tuned in.
Hopefully he takes notice on which side the previous Brownlow medalists stands when the Cheers are given to Dusty.

I'd imagine the cats will come out firing with the missing players to prove a point, hopefully we can match them early and get control as the game goes on.

I like us to retain the 2nd ruck/tall forward even if Jack plays, having that 198+ player bringing the ball to ground for our smalls has worked well, and will help release Jack to run amok imo.

will be a repeat of that game where they only got like 3 tackles to half time. they will already have conceded before the game knowing they'll be without their lord duckwood. will struggle without his 10 high frees pushing them up the ground

I dunno how many times the Cats would've started outsiders at home in recent years, but it's probably not many.

We've shortened up quite a bit after Jelwood + suspensions, but to counter that they have an 8 day break vs our 6 and the advantage of playing on that weird shaped ground that looks like an oval with a flat tyre, where as our kids mightn't have played on anything as claustrophobic.

The Cats prospective team looks kinda average on paper and any rain helps us, but anything at $2.4 or longer I think is worth an interest to secure a nice weekend either way.

This is not the MCG. It's a long but very narrow ground. I hope we're ready to adjust our gameplan a bit to recognise that fact.

Geelong has done well there over the years by intercept marking at half back and then rapid ball movement down the guts. They usually move it by foot, spotting up a target around CHF, before going for the pass inside 50.

With no forwards to speak of, they will look to slow the game down and make it a heavily contested game. They'll try to physically intimidate our small forwards and will put a lot of time into Cotchin. They know Martin will want to impose himself, so watch out for lots of gang tackling whenever he gets the pill.

We can't play "pretty" football. I'd like to see us defend deep and then run and carry the footy. I think we can expose their mids and defenders with raw pace coming out of half back. If we get it over the top (watch out for a few Dusty torps) then Caddy, JR8 and Butler could have a big afternoon.

If we lose, it will be because we got sucked into a territory game and let them clog up our forward half.

Go Tigers.

Is bittersweet.

Bitter in that it is narrow so not enough space to get a running game going.

Sweet in that it is narrow so our pressure game should be even more effective. Less ground for us to defend out wide. Easier for us to lock the ball in our forward line when we get it in there.

His AFL Riverdance routine.

I think we'll win. We normally play that quick footy with run from the backline, but if Geelong decide to slow the game down, then I think that we can also win with that contested-style game.

Just no bombing the ball inside 50 without leads or space because the Geelong defenders will probably gobble that up.

Lol at predictable cats board playing the victim card. "Richmond gonna flog us". If they lose it's because of injuries\suspensions. Win and it's David beating Goliath, backs to the wall - the stuff legends are made of.
No one has ever said this about Richmond in my lifetime. Delicious :D

Only 3 times?? Nah Prince Patty will have it on constant loop with his Brownlow frame hanging above the TV and pics of himself on either side with candles and a nice bottle of Vaseline, think of 40 year old virgin style lol!!!

Well we are due for a win against the Cats.... MRP and injuries helping. If we rock up and think it's going to happen we will get our butts handed to us. If we turn up with the same hunter attitude we have shown against the Hawks and at other times through this year, maintain it for 4 quarters we are good enough to get it done.
Yeah, the boys are fully aware of their shyte record against the cats and beating them is important mentally. To me its a grand final. I've hated the Cats and Hawks since the bad old days. I can't believe the steel in the team last week & I know they will be up for the fight this week. Wins vs Hawks, Cats 2 weeks in a row would be nice.

Maybe rest a few against Freo.
