Cam Rayner - 3 disposals in the SECOND HALF. Disposal efficiency for his 12 disposals over the four quarters was 58% He simply refuses to step up in big games. We really are at the stage where we need to ask, what is the point of Cam Rayner?
What if we put Gunston out to pasture and have Rayner play his spot? He'd be damaging and playing to his strengths as a player

Dare I say it, but LESTER WAS FANTASTIC AGAIN THIS WEEK!

16 Disposals
100% Disposal Efficiency - Lester’s field kicking was sublime.
Team high 8 marks
8 intercept possessions
3 Tackles
Stood up, took the hits, forced stoppages,
Tonight's match has actually converted me from a Lester hater to a Lester supporter. He popped up at all the right moments and made a difference. Go Froggy!

We won it with a few bits of individual brilliance in the first 3 quarters.

We just looked very very tired at the end.

Pointless reading anything in to it at this stage of the year because we have our best team on the park. Or thereabouts.

It's ours to take if we can play a lot better and get ourselves totally motivated.

Ashcroft it turns out has been a big loss and it's unfortunate we don't seem to have anyone to step up and fill that slot.

Opportunity for someone to make themselves a hero in the next 6 weeks.
That hero's name is Deven Robertson

Reckon we'll be playing the Dees up here in week 1 of the finals now. Will be almost exactly one year since they demolished us up here in round 23 if so. Good time to fix that up.

Definitely hope you are correct and I'm wrong. Port has lost twice to the crows, dees and pies barely got over the line against them across 3 games so getting a win is a good result.

However some of the fundamentals are trending the wrong way. As much as we were unlucky to lose by a point to the dees, we've barely held on the last 2 weeks. Maybe that's two good character building wins and we are reserving our best punch for finals - only time will tell.

Maybe we’re in the middle of a hard training block.

I didn't see anything at our game that made me think we're clearly not as good as anyone else. It's a super even season and on our day we can beat anyone. Crows are a good side and have lost several by narrow margins; a bit more luck and they might be well inside the top eight. Yes a few players are down on form but I think the current 22 is the best available.

Wilmot is becoming a gun. He's a real x-factor player.

Huge turning point in the game was when we were streaming forward and had 2-3 players all on their own out the back 5 or so minutes into the last quarter, at the time we were around 16 points up IIRC, Starc got the ball in space and just had to hit one of our spare players and it was just about game over, he shanked the kick and kicked it down the throat of the only Crows player within 50 meters.

It was a huge momentum shifter, you could feel it at the ground, not long after the Crows kicked a goal and it was game on.

Yep, it was. He doesn’t run that over and it’s a 4&1/2 goal lead and we kick on. Intend it become a 2 goal lead.

And he's still too slow and a defensive liability. Lyon's only hope is if Neale goes down. Not far off being delisted I would suspect

Still has another year on his contract. Unless he calls it quits he'll be around for another year.

he's a turnover king. alongside Berry as probably the worst in our team. plenty of blind bomb kicks.

Hoping those two can sort themselves out as they will go a long way to us playing good footy again.

Rayner doing Rayner things.
Daniher is amazing.
CC getting on the end of some sitters from clugga.

A few moving parts are starting to click but as a whole we still aren't there yet. Hoping the Pies game is where it all does.

2023 premiers.

The negativity is ridiculous .

It's not just negativity some here are in a frothing rage over a win, seriously just relax and enjoy the win.

To win a flag tapering is very important as it is in all sports. To win while playing in 2nd gear is a positive in terms of our chance at a flag
