What a great weekend for sport. Yesterday with the Matilda's was massive and today just as good.

The old ticker still trying to calm down.

Strange old game. Dogs looked done and dusted and then, who knows where it came from but suddenly they started running and spreading and getting the ball down their end and kick vital goals.

I thought the problems of earlier in the season of losing by mere points was going to rear its ugly head (Giants 2pt loss, Crows 3pt loss and Tigers 1pt loss) but no, we showed something extra and win by 3points.

Phew. Great time to be a Hawk supporter, Go Hawks.

• DGB played his role & competed well (was on Jones for long stretch)
• BMac didn’t look out of place despite a few skill errors
• Newc……no words !!!!!
• Day ….insanely good ‘leader’
• Worps ‘underated’
• Scrimshaw ‘very solid’ and showed desperation he was lacking
• Hardwick, like Worps, very underated
• Amon ‘massive link in the teams chain’

I thought Worps had a solid game too when the whips were cracking. He looks to have really got his confidence back this season.

Absolutely. Dug deep when it mattered - very workmanlike today. glad to see him back to his best.

Really floating after that win.

We played into the doggies hands in the first half but in the second half we totally changed our approach going forward. Really awesome to see us able to do that within a game. Great coaching

I assume Nash ran with him, then ran off him and had a far greater impact than Bont going forward. Others might be able to clarify.
