Max 8 touches for 6 goals 1 - old fashioned full forward game!

Good game and should get some much needed confidence.

But FMD he needs to get moving on the defensive side of his game. Is basically a lamp post once the opposition has posession.

I looked up his stats - 62 tackles in 68 games. By comparison Naughton has 335 in 120 games and Lynch 225 in about 140.

Max really needs to work harder at times. Good teams will exploit him.

Good win.

Nice to win comfortably for once.

Marshall was huge and Seb Ross made a difference in the midfield along with King firing with 6 goals and Gresh snagging 3 goals.

Good signs from our kids too with NWM, Owens, Phillipou, Sharman and Windhager all making good contributions.

Bring on Geelong next Saturday night at Marvel, I reckon we can take them down and book a spot in the finals.

I think its 1 from 1.
Lets face it we are not beating brisbane up there unless they go cue in the rack.

We have to win next week its a non negotiable

Maybe they go a tactical loss. Guaranteed spot in the top 4, bring in a soft side instead of the Cats, rest players for finals. Could be a good move for them.

An important win - but gees we are a mentally soft team! If this group want to play finals they need to win one of the next two games. So you would think the club would want to take some real momentum into next week and grind Richmond into the ground. Instead they went back into their shell and cruised like they do when things arent going their way. There are far too many players who are not prepared to work hard enough for 120 minutes in games.
They were blown and they deliberately put the cue in the rack.
6 day break and the breakneck 3 quarters would have taken a toll.

The big game Maddies match thing has almost died in the arse hasn’t it. Not even wearing special jumpers any more. Wonder if all the boys even know who poor Maddie is.
Remember how big the first one was.

Learned form last week IMO, less panicky and more direct in usage given the more even spaces around, also helps that for the most part we were actually trying to hit up leads instead of dump kicking to no in particular.

Bring the same and one or both of Cats and Brissie are up for grabs as both variable units, this match was just that first step for that 5-6 range lock all season long.

I honestly think Rtb learned a few things from the hawks style of play.

Grizzle

Not sure on Clarkes future, 5 touches as the sub with 2 of them absolute mongrels.
Looked like his fitness is still an issue too.
Thought Sharman was stiff getting subbed, looked really good all game.
Won’t be that easy against the cats, need to up our forward 50 pressure but good news is we’ve been pretty good all year in that regard so confident we sort that out next week. King looked non existent for second efforts but you’d expect that with the game in hand and bagging 6.
Cordy, Stocker, Wilkie and Sincs brilliant.
Might have been my mind playing tricks on me, but Clarke looked to grab at his left hammy / glute going through the center pretty early on.

Had that special feeling about it… richmond to kick 7 goals in 11 minutes to snatch it.

Thankfully Richmond are already half-way to vegas.

Why is Nank allowed to grab the ball and stand still waiting to be tackled and never get pinged? They need to bring back that rule where if rucks take it from a ball-up and get tackled it's a free.
