Well, that is a very uninspiring side... Long and Hunter in the side stinks. Persisting with Kent stinks. Just a big stink fest.
Who cares? It's literally a nothing game, means absolutely nothing. The team means nothing.

I mean Hunter coming in is a no brainer surely with Marshall needed forward.

Precisely because it IS a nothing game. Bytel, Allison, Coffield etc should be getting games.

Marshall sole ruck and Allison getting a crack forward. There's still Membrey and Sharman down there with Marshall rotating forward. He'd only take the 3rd defender.

Disappointing to see the names one the extended bench also. Coffield, Bytel, Crouch, Clavarino, Byrnes, Allison, Lonie, Dunstan. I'd prefer all off them minus Lonie in the side.

Allison will get a run when he's ready. Putting him in as the go to forward where he will get destroyed isn't going to help his career.

Besides the final team hasn't even been named.

Oh and Bytel is confirmed to play.

Hope Hunter has an absolute blinder.

He usually does

So instead of replacing a young forward with a young forward we move our ruckman forward and bring in a potato.
who is making these decisions?? Paul hunter should not be played
Allison has spent all year playing and training as a defender.

The decision seems pretty straight forward to have Hunter ruck rather than throw Alison to the wolves in a position he hasn't played this year.

It’s a nothing game. We threw Sharman to the wolves and he turned out ok. And any decision involving hunter playing AFL is a bad decision

Every available player we have in listed on the team sheet this week. We aren't flush with options to fill specific positions on the ground.

Could be as simple as Marshall looked sore last week and with Freo playing 2 rucks, maybe we wanted to provide him with another ruck who can help him out. In that case, Hunter would be our only option.

It really doesnt matter. Feels like complaining for complaining sake at this point.

Long selection is strange, made even more strange by being listed on the field in the backline again.

Hope Allison gets named as sub if not on the ground. Will be good experience to get some match day prep time and make sure he gets a run in the last qtr for someone to get a taste of the speed of the game. Will do him well for next year.
Your being so kind to the selection committee- strange!!! Maybe someone can give us an idea as to why he was picked in the first place and why he was named in the back pocket presuming he plays there. From memory played his last 6 or 7 in the forward pocket and didnt do a lot IMO

Only play 2 rucks if they are 2 good rucks. Playing a guy just because he’s 2 metres tall is just a waste of a field position.

We have 26 fit players to pick 23 players for the game from. People are going to be defaulted into the side because they are the only fit player in that position.

Why should Marshall be forward? Surely we have better options to make a somewhat functional forwardline than crippling our midfield by playing the worst ruckman on an AFL list in recent memory...
