Pretty disgraceful then. If the AFL doesn't ban him multiple weeks, we should.

We should get on the front foot and ban him internally for a week so the AFL doesn't have to get involved. Not on and it also shows we don't stand for that kind of crap.

Rayners second half was good. Prior shows why he should have played most of the year.

I thought Oscar competed well against a tough ruck combo.

Neale and McCluggage tried hard.

Not much else to be pleased about.

Same old problems. Zero run and zero pressure especially from the forwards and mids. Defence just gets overwhelmed with no support. We've just failed to address it all year so see nothing changing now.

Absolute disgrace.

Mentally weak.

Can’t remember being more embarrassed as a Lions fan, especially after the appalling conduct by our captain.

Tigers will beat us by 50 points, we will just freeze over and embarrass ourselves again on the big stage.

Just get the final out of the way and give us all a break.

Eyes on getting Ashcroft in and a refresh/reset for 2023.

Fagan safe for now, but I wouldn’t be extending him anytime soon.

Complete debarcle, but entirely predictable.

missed the entire game

worth watching??

or should i not put myself through the pain
You absolutely should watch it. After all we all suffered enjoyed our way through it.

Say what you want about Fagans coaching skills. But I feel bad about him having to discuss whatever vile shit Zorko has said. I hope it isn't the only point discussed (not to minimize it), so we can flesh out fully the failures of the match.

Rayner a really good second half, needs to be given more responsibility in the middle next season.
Bailey impressed me in a tough, brave, unselfish kind of way tonight.
Prior tried his guts out, was strong, tough and pretty clean at times while not making great decisions with the ball at times.
Answerth tried hard and took a few intercept marks, pretty low bar but thought he was okay.
Neale was tireless and had his moments but we can't expect him to do it all on his own against the good teams.
Coleman was back to a little bit of his good form tonight which was nice, such a good player to watch.

Gardiner, Lyons, Zorko, Rich, McStay, Matho all out of the 22 for me next season, individually they may be better than their replacements but in a team game I don't believe they're offering enough to the overall performance of the team and in most cases hurting the performance of the team.
No words for Zorko, getting close to the point of just not wanting him at the club anymore.

I'm not blaming the coaching group for the way we played. I liked the way we wanted to play to start the game, took the game on by foot, was aggressive and physical. I am blaming them for not selecting the best 22 capable of playing that way, if we want to take the game on which I believe we should we need players with better skills, better running capacity and a team first mentality.

Zorko obviously said something he shouldn't have but can we wait until we know more about the situation before retiring the guy

Don't think based on his past behaviour we should give him the benefit of the doubt tbh. I don't think a bloke starts crying based on nothing.

even watching it live I knew the result 10 mins in :(
Tactically we played the same game plan that was not working for the whole game.

Melbourne were fairly classy about it but pretty clear Zorko said something pretty horrible. So incredibly disappointing from anyone let alone the club captain.

Its been hard to defend him over the years through all the stupid crap he does. Just wish the club had looked else where for leadership

Got 4 text messages from mates all along the lines of Zorko is a ****ing flog. All I could do was respond with a thumbs up 👎

Let’s wait to see what happened before we crucify him.

Regardless of what was said to Petty, his conduct tonight for the whole game was absolutely unforgivable.

He has completely given up on his personal standards as a player and leader, no wonder we lack leadership in big games.

No one even wants to fly the flag for him, it’s selfish and distracting.

How his behaviour, as our skipper, has been allowed to deteriorate to this point is an indictment on our club.

Geez I don't see the excess force on Brown from Rayner in that tackle. Surely momentum carried him forward rather than a true dangerous tackle. Definitely feels like he is going to be suspended though.

I gave JBerry a vote for bravery.....I wanted to give Mitch Robbo a vote for caring but it wouldn't work

...cmon Mods, Mitch deserves a vote!

edit: dlanod ....seems to have worked for briztoon but won't for me. In fact none of them seem to be working for me now. Got Bezz vote done then nothing.o_O

I’m just so sick of being disappointed in big games. At least we will only have to sit through one more against Richmond.

Funny how AFL maths doesn’t work, Melbourne scrape by Carlton yet we had kicked the shit out of them for 3 out of 4 quarters.
