I don’t think the AFL would have any power to suspend Zorko? Tough situation for the lions but surely they have to give him a club suspension. Everyone that plays football should know that family is like you don’t cross.

Just on the Zorko stuff the way he was carrying on even after the game shaking his head like everyone was overreacting, I don't believe for a second he is/was apologetic. His body language and attitude changed once Birchall went to him after his interaction with May, after whatever Birchall had to say to him he went straight to Petty to give him a pat on the back.

just said "they're a joke" in reference to us. I expect such sentiment is gonna be pretty common across the talking heads this week. Hopefully this instigates change in the off-season. This is the team's peak and if we want to take the next step something has to be done in terms of personnel and game plan.

A year ago I would've disagreed with you.....but as the year has gone on I've seen Zorko becoming more of a poohead than a strong leader. That attitude does start to rub off on the rest of the team if allowed to fester until it becomes pure poison like tonights episode with Petty.

He's done as far as I'm concerned. He can retire, hand over the captaincy anything but I don't want him leading this team anymore.

I also wonder if there aren't a lot of injuries then what is going on behind the scenes at the club.

Something just seems very wrong somewhere. Playing like that was as bad as our dark years.

Game was lost in the first couple of minutes. What an embarrassing performance. Imagine the the rev up in the rooms before the game. Come on guys. Last game, all to play for. Then they run out and dish up that.

Honestly, that's the end of our premiership windo w. We have been in it the last 2-3 seasons and now it is gone. The older players are not up to it and the younger players are not there yet. We have a middle rung of players who unfortunately are not going to get to the big dance. Much as I love Fagan, he has blown his chance. We are simply not good enough when put under pressure. When we get to play our own game going forward we will beat anyone. But if they turn around and lay on some pressure, we crumble. We've masked it all year by kicking plenty of goals but against the good teams when it matters, we have nothing. We'll get an EF in two weeks and capitulate in that and go on to Mad Monday like it's all fine. Piss poor. Wasted opportunity.

The younger players are the ones trying to carry us at the moment, we should only continue to improve going into next season assuming we're willing to change our best 22 and playstyle.

Footylive periodically gets caught and doesn't refresh the player stats. The player stats there haven't refreshed in a few quarters

Just not in their league. Two many slow and poor defensive pressure players to beat the best. Not enough leaders. Captain doesn’t behave like one either. Just really deflating

Just got back from the game - WOW! What an absolute demolishment, right from the first bounce when Brayshaw was 10 meters clear at the front of the bounce.

A few simple things stood out for me when we are talking about matching it with the top 3-4 sides >

1- We do not run hard enough for long enough.
2- We have too many players sucked to the contest, consistently the Demons would have free players on the outside, our set ups around stoppages are abysmal when matched against the better sides.
3- We do not have enough good ball users.

The question to ask yourself is 'Am I a masochist'? If the answer is yes then watch as many times as your self loathing can handle.

Its pretty damning seeing footage of the first bounce. Melbourne players could have almost walked that goal in they had that much space. For all the talk we weren't switched on at all
