If we rest players too the betting companies could get a cast iron pineapple enema...

Wouldn't shed a tear about that tbh

I would. When I heard the rumour, I loaded up on the Tigers to win by 45+ at $3 before the odds changed.

You know what I would really love to see? Somehow Sydney shit the bed and lose to Gold Coast and North end up having to play a bunch of angry birds in Sydney.

That would be truly epic! :)

Although highly unlikely... :-(

May as well try for some real football discussion then......

Playing Maric and Ivan would be interesting. People claim that Goldy was held last week by Roughead, but he still had 15 possessions and 59 hitouts (20 to advantage). Our mids getting pansted made it look like Goldy was worse than he was.

Playing Maric and Hampson against Goldy after a week off would probably be your best bet i would think. The you can rest one forward and ensure we have to play with Hansen down back.

That is an incredible day's work. The guys a flippin gun.

The Kangas are playing with Karma. Usually doesn't end well.

I can deal with Freo resting players as they are 1st for a reason, but North Melbourne are 8th and I don't really feel it's in the spirit of the game.

But in reality, I'm just glad they're helping us avoid a red hot Adelaide

I find what Carey said very interesting.. if North's 'second' players were to physically rough up our players.. Would be a pretty shit thing... but that's football I guess..

They wouldn't want to, AFL Integrity would be all over them and kick them out of finals :D

I hope more than anything that we play them in the EF and beat them.

Will be magical.

Still 13 players we can injure from their team next week.

If any ring in engages in conduct that causes our players to respond and face suspension, all suspensions should be void. If they lay cheap shots they should get double length suspensions and their poor excuse for a club should be penalised draft picks.

Scotts explanation :drunk: this guy is a ruddy campaigner

“In 2012 I made a massive blue in hindsight,” Scott explained in his media conference on Thursday.

“We’d secured a finals spot, we were travelling up to play GWS in the last round of the year.

“I didn’t rest anyone, I played players who had niggles, who were overly fatigued. Then we proceeded to travel to West Coast the next week and get absolutely obliterated.

“I swore to myself then; if we were in the same position I wouldn’t make the same mistake, so I’m not going to do it this year.”
