Believe it when I see it. All season it's been this:

Brad Scott: We'll make wholesale changes this week, if you don't put in you don't play
*2 changes*

This week:

Brad Scott: We're looking to rest up to 10 players this week
*2 changes*

They are out to $7.50, im sure there is something going on

May as well try for some real football discussion then......

Playing Maric and Ivan would be interesting. People claim that Goldy was held last week by Roughead, but he still had 15 possessions and 59 hitouts (20 to advantage). Our mids getting pansted made it look like Goldy was worse than he was.

Playing Maric and Hampson against Goldy after a week off would probably be your best bet i would think. The you can rest one forward and ensure we have to play with Hansen down back.

Yeah, the Dogs had more contested possessions and clearances than you blokes last week. It was the mids, not Roughhead, that got hold of the game. Third man up jumping, numbers at the contest, and they were pretty hungry.

I tend to agree that Hansen needs to be made accountable, but I don't think winning the ruck position is important enough to bring in Hampson. Sandilands flogged us twice this year, but didn't have a lot of influence on the result. For mine, the game(s) will be won and lost between the ears of both teams midfield.

From what I saw his taps were mostly ineffective even with those stats. Or at least less not in the most favourable position.

Carlton is ALWAYS worthy of complete hatred.

I take great delight in the fact that they have descended into an abyss of shame and misery and I hope they fall even further.

I'm trying, Tiger, I'm trying. Few people enjoyed the Malthouse fun as much as me, or the Henderson carry-on, or the shameless parading of trade-bait, but this season, they make me giggle rather than growl.

But there's good signs for the future. Cripps is someone I could really hate for 200-plus games. Buckley looks like he'll be squibbing contests and missing tackles long after Murphy hangs up the boots.

They just need a KPF as despicable as Fev, and someone to take the reins as the most punchable face in the competition. They never really replaced Fireman Sam.

Agree. The team is starting to click at the right time. Also believe that Dimma and staff have managed the boys very well to get them this far.

mmmmmm i hope so , i thought we were playing great re Hawks and freo games then Crows match we went back to crap again , i think if we capture those two games form we will beat who ever we have to play in the elimination final. Im still a Tad worried about our scoring power though .

Perhaps Figjam and Red Eddie could provide some information there. They were witnesses. :D We were struggling for a while but. Nah, Tiger, the boys can get it on. ;)

The AFL are morons.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-03/roos-preparing-to-rest-up-to-10-players

"Speaking before the Kangaroos released their statement on Thursday morning, AFL football operations manager Mark Evans said the League was comfortable with teams resting players as long as they weren't seeking to manipulate aspects of the competition."

What a stupid comment. They are manipulating the first week finals schedule. The resting of players is for the EXACT reason "to manipulate aspects of the competition." Norf are frightened to play a final in Adelaide, because they would get belted. What a soft football club. If the RFC did the same thing, I simply would not go to the game. The integrity of the competition is compromised. Adelaide would be much more comfortable playing Norf - as Norf are crap.

Minnow club with minnow intelligence. I seriously hope we belt the living crap out of them, and if there are footy Gods, the Swans lose by a point. I'm sure the "rested" players will enjoy an afternoon of knitting or macrame. Nothing to hard for a soft football club.

Scoring power isn't an issue if we keep up our defensive efforts. In the 21 games so far the average goals kicked against us is 9.85 goals.

Doubt you will be seeing shootouts in finals so it should play in our favour.
