Hall, HJ, Dewar, Ginbey, Chesser, J Williams, Bazzo etc need to take ownership and look to take on the game more in the 2nd half.
Reid and Hough should rallying them, can't depend on the old blokes to take the lead anymore (and they certainly aren't providing any leadership).

Geelong are a back half team that want to run lanes up the ground. The way to kill that is with manic forward pressure.

The land of the giants setup provides nothing at all on that front, and Geelong get to play a effectively training session on their terms as a result.
This exactly and I’ve been having a few private discussions around this issue with posters that think our issues are our defensive half.

If you can’t apply fwd pressure you don’t create turnover and what sides try to do these days is score from turnover. Our setup is rubbish and we haven’t invested in fwds that compete and pressure. If it’s not lace out or a big grab our fwd line just become witches hats.

he isn't significantly on his own but the opportunity cost we paid for him was massive and we are paying that cost
the drafted mid who struggled to get a kick, who played defender as a junior and is lost as a defender

we are patient thankfully
Mate what are you talking about. He is playing as a key position player which is not what his position is or what he was drafted for.

North meanwhile are playing themselves into a spoon chance if Richmond win

Yeo, Hunt, Cole, Kelly and Hutch for the first 10 minutes about the only ones having a real dip.

Starting Ginbey on Cameron is suicidal coaching. Has had maybe three kicked on him but Schofield has gone to three different players on him and now back to Ginbey.

Season’s over and we’re a disgrace, let’s see if the world’s best motivator can fire the boys up to avoid a 200 point concession and record loss.

Disagree with the worst team bit.
Players are doing what they have been taught, which is the problem.
Yes they are bad, but the game plan is worse and that is exasserating the problem. You need a game plan that plays to your strengths and covers your weakness, we are playing a game where we try to squeeze square pegs in round holes
This is on Simpson… and Nesbett…. 5 years of no integrity at selection…no accountability

Half the players you have mentioned have played like three games in the last year. It’s a ridiculous expectation to expect them to be afl standard.

Not that it makes me feel any better but North are trailing by nearly 100 in the last v Hawks. Clearly both teams have given up for the year.
Behind by 100 over 4 quarters is significantly better than 100 behind at half time

Wr have the cap space to sack some of these senior players. Get darling and cripps OUT. Pay them out and **** them off for a start.
Especially Darling lets be honest Simpson never dropped him.
Probably been gifted 50 games he doesn't deserve

He hurt the club in covid with him and his wife's deluded bullshit

I don't see him as a club legend just a player that in the later part of his career put himself first over what's
best for the club

We've timed this perfectly. Geelong starting to fade, and if we can just kick the next 10 we'll be all over them.

I'm expecting Schofield to take the gloves off and inject Darling into the midfield
