Although it's early for the autopsy I'd suggest the Mitchell/Lewis trades ( who were 1 and 2 in the B&of) ripped the heart out of them. It's backfired spectacularly.
Not backfired. It's just fastracked the Inevitable.

i know it's been frequently talked about but i jut do not understand the seemingly blatant refusal to draft in actual ruckmen. The game has changed in the past year, and now with the rule changes regarding the ruck contests, teams absolutely require a big body that can contest. We do not have that. We knew we didn't have that. We knew it would be an issue. We did nothing.
I reckon Alistair Lynch has removed his pants.

What makes you think that rough has no on field leadership? For years I've seen him directing players where to be, not sure what else from the outer you have picked up on..?I'm also worried that Rough has no on-field leadership... (and Shiels has always been a non-event). Worry that players are still looking to Hodge for direction. At the moment it looks like we need to delist about 10 players.
I guess, if you post this every year, as you have, it was bound to be correct eventually. We will lose by 10 goals. We were never going to win this. Likewise next week etc etc....
12th to 15th was always a realistic ladder finish for us. Only the educated realise this and except it without bagging out on our players like so many on here. We will not be a threat for at least 3 - 5 years. Get used to it.
