Kicking long and high achieves nothing

Against GC I watched it unfold. The bombing starts when we start flooding back to help in defence. No one is forward of the ball so it's kicked in heavy traffic with pressure and no one is forward of the ball except one forward who last year was usually Lonie. The opposition has 4 or 5 players still in defence so we bomb it to him anyway because there isn't options. It's a trust and composure thing, once you can trust defence to hold up and not lose all your positions up in the front half you get more options forward of the ball.

Keep bombs aside for Ming in 2022. He'll mark at the highest point, higher than mount Everest.

Kicking to one on ones, taking the game on, defensive structure is keeping us in.

So i switched off that quarter. Good comeback has me thinking i won't watch any more live in case i mozz us.

If we get up I'll be downstairs watching the replay!

Geary tremendous down back that quarter . Was looking extraordinarily ugly,but they stopped. Need to keep that work rate right up, as there run and spread is far superior to ours. You never know

Freo are playing smarter footy than us - able to push it forward and build a wall behind to lock it in

Marshall, Dunstan, Steele and Acres all doing well

The second quarter started out as bad as the first but then the Saints clicked into gear - with Billings, Membrey, Billings and Marshall best that quarter

We will have a super side for many years to come , most of our kids need more games - just that run and chase from DMac on Hogan , Billings getting plenty , Acres bobbing up , Steele keeping Fyfe honest.
