Think it's interesting that Maginness covered the most km's from any player last week.

I'm not sure what role he is playing at the moment, but maybe that's something that Sam is loving about his game.

Same last week also and similar distance covered - kid can run!

Finn’s biggest issue is his kicking. Finn masters this, Finn will be elite.

Maybe Finn gets a job this week to run with Cripps or Walsh - if one of those guys can have their influence lessened we go a long way towards winning

Just can’t see us containing Carlton, they are too strong around the ground. Too early in the season to argue that Hawthorn will be anything more than a 12 to 8 (on the ladder kinda side). End of the day, we have beaten the worst team in the league and a depleted Port Adelaide (albeit in Adelaide).

Hawthorn’s performance on Sunday will be telling of where we truly sit.

We will need to be half respectable in the clearance battle to win.

The backline dealt with the barrage of inside 50’s from the centre clearance extremely well last week, but I’d be surprised if we top that if our mids can’t make it competitive

After rewatching the last quarter, Reeves was hunched over grabbing at his knee late and following that he left the ground with Nash taking over the late ruck duties.

Has anything been said about that? I might have missed it. Would be terrible for the lad if he copped an injury, hoping it was just a knock and nothing serious.

He contested a couple of hitouts post grabbing the knee from memory. But he looked gassed before that incident so hopefully it was precautionary to have him off the ground as the game was in the bag at that point.

Worst case Lynch gets a chance to impress this week.

Depends if you’re taking the short term or long term view. We have Sheils and Howe waiting in the wings whom have performed this role competently in the past.
Is Howe available? An experienced big bodied mid would be handy in at the coal face where the Blues have a real edge. They got some beasts in there. Might not fit with the youth first policy, but he was really good late last year.

Just on that, what is the best site to visit for VFL information for this South Aussie? Unless I’m missing something, the AFL site is crap.

Howe is 26 and has plenty of footy left in him. I think there is a high probability he gets a call up.
It's down to Howe or Day I would have thought.

You mean for Wingard? I’d have them both come in a leave someone out- probably Maginess. Plenty of time still for him.

Sunday in front of 65-70k against another big club is invaluable for a young list. Geelong in a fortnight also, stand alone game big crowd, massive for some of these young blokes.

Think Finn runs with Walsh, won’t get blown up and we need to curtail his influence.
I’d instruct Nash to just smash into Cripps at every opportunity.
Think the dogs worked the blues out after half time last week they were just ultimately to far back in the end.

In Day out Wingard.

Looking forward to this one

Newk and Nash are our biggest bodies.

The last time I checked the VFL website makes the AFL one look like an absolute dream. I generally get Box Hill info straight from the source (Box Hill socials and website) and if I want game stats I use the Footy Live app which does really well at cataloguing all the VFL games.

Footy Live app is great for live game day stats, for some simple cumulative stats this website is also grouse - VFL Stats
