Well with the dogs staring down 0-3, as well as their ins, was always expecting them to come out firing. I know we’re 2.7 but a lot of our set shots haven’t exactly been easy (50m+ out, from the boundary). Think we’ll come out a different side in the second half

Does anyone remember the Stretch Armstrong toys? Do you remember how they look when they're all stretched out n busted?

Now imagine a Stretch Armstrong toy in the image of Mark "Jacko" Jackson being all stretched out n busted. Looks just like Rory Lobb.

It's only errors and poor shooting that's costing us. Doggies look like they want it more. Can't let them get a roll on, gotta take the wind out of their sails. We are showing good intent to move the ball.

Tidy up the errors, get some hunger and we'll be right. I still think we can win it.

The 'we need emotion' argument is simply false tonight. We are literally running harder defensively than they are. The issue is skill and turnover. The data backs that up.

We fix that and we will win. Have faith fam.

What's happened to Hipwood for you guys? Looks like a half-reasonable VFL player at the moment.
He wouldn’t get a game in the VFL. He’ll take a contested mark at the 25 min of the last quarter and people will say he’s it and a bit. Unfortunately he’s untradeable. He seems like a nice dude, but at what point do you drop him?

This is a good challenge for us . We're all fit and well.

They've come out with real intent and incentive tonight.

If we're any good we'll overrun them.
Problem with Hipwood is he’s never been able to mark above his head and he gets outbodied by opponents half his size.

I think coming back from the knee has also taken away some of his athleticism which is one thing he did have on his opponents.

He had a bit of a purple patch in the finals series last year and we all thought he’d turned the corner, but you’re right he’s been pretty average so far this year.

I liked that Joyce flew the flag for Rayner after he got hit high in the second.

Even when Gardiner becomes available again he deserves to stay in this team based on his form so far.

Turning circle of a roadtrain. Opponent is 20m away by the time he changes direction

Yeh this. Gotta tidy that disposal. It's not that we don't get it enough.

It’s lack of effort effecting skill though. Lazy disposals and those Up the field not working hard enough. Not working hard enough out of congestion to get an unpressured kick, etc.

It is interesting because some guys are playing pretty well but there are more than a few having shockers and in a team game, that hurts.
