It's the 'kiss footscray on the dick' school of umpiring. We just need to look at those pricks sideways and it's a free to them.
It's kind of understandable to an extent, I mean, the likes of footscray need as much pity as the umps can summon. They, like the saints, have gone nowhere despite being formed in 1883(?) Imagine being in existence for that long and only having managed 2 flags (with the 2016 one gifted to them with the usual soft umpiring)? They are a nothing club who are inherent losers who simply can't amount to anything unless it's gifted to them.
