Yeah I watched it (unfortunately) thought they looked awful, I've got no idea why their supporters think they're a chance against us especially considering how bad they were in the praccy.
They think they are a good chance due to the injuries I suppose - they are not totally useless , they do have some good players however they we be playing a team designed to blanket there game style , even with a team patched up with our upcoming youth.
Our kids like Hammer , Owens , Pou , Milera , Byrnes , Bytel , Windhager are going to be heavily relied on to produce again which is a big task against the more experienced players they will be up against.
This is where our coaching staff like Hayes , Enright and Harvey will have to squeeze the most out of them to get the job done and our experienced players will have to have good games to sink the Bombers.

I fully expect Bytel to come into the side to replace Steele and either him or Windhager will be named as a sub.

Has anyone got a idea when King is expected back , Membery and Billings.

Don’t often post and I love the banter in this thread but can we please take it back notch and not get ahead of ourselves. We are St Kilda ffs. Yes the first two rounds have been exciting but we have versed two weak opposition who could fall very low on the ladder this year. IMO A near full strength Essendon side will likely beat us this weekend and we have never coped well without steele. Everytime we get ahead of ourselves and cocky a team like essendon don’t crushes our hopes and sometimes our season. Really hope we get up this weekend though!

There input is so important for all the youth in the side.
We don’t have the history of success like a Geelong, Richmond or Hawthorn.
But we now have legends at the club that have a track record of hard work and dedication to the club’s history.
I think this has been lacking for quite a while.
I think we were seen as a team of mercenaries.

It’s 2nd v 3rd.
It’s definitely a health check for where the team is at.

St Kilda under this coaching group are a different proposition.

That's not just piss and wind... it's true.

I said on the weekend at half time after the bulldogs short comeback we'll be ok because I've seen Ross grab teams at half time and sort things out time and time again. He has the runs on the board.

For over a decade we've been poorly coached. It's been painfully obvious.

I don't buy the whole "we're St Kilda ffs" nonsense.

We are a fundamentally different opponent to play against this year because the people steering the ship are extremely capable.

I've seen comments on this board over the last few years downplay the importance of coaches. It blew my mind to be honest.

Bassat and co showed they had the cajones to do what needed to be done. Let's get on board.

Sure, we won't win every game, especially if we're consistently plagued by injury but It's time this club shook off all this curse bulls*t.

It's time for our club to have some swagger about us.

Let's smash these pr*cks

King around 5 to 6 weeks, & Membrey a minimum of a month away.
Billings, I don't care about.

Does the sarcasm need to be more obvious? Hard to do but I'll give it a crack, cheers chief

Perusing the Saints150 site, I came across this handsome bastard…

Heya, great-grandad…
This is a screen shot of Hunter Clark's Ancestory.com page where he found great great granddaddy.
You can see the resemblance in the upper body definition.
Is that yoda druggie fans nic an homage to the midfield manlets?
Our teenagers Owens and Windy will bend them over and go in dry.

We have allowed 93 points in 2 games against what were tipped to be top 6 oppo.
Essington has allowed 145 points in 2 games against an actively tanking Horx and the travelling failed experiments of the GC.
If the ball even makes it into their forward 50, it will transition quicker than someone just sentenced to 20 years.

I'm not usually one to get carried away, but, Saints by 10 goals.
****ing gold class imagery there, dard. Going for the Gringo's crown? Would love to see you two trading barbs, it'd be like Nas vs Jay Z.

Already some good animosity between saints and dons fans this week - on Big Footy at least - but I could see it getting feisty at the G too.

Just had a squiz at their thread and a good proportion of it is just them complaining about how unhinged we are on here lmao, still 5 days away from the game and I daresay we’re just getting started Sainters
My life ban from the bombers remains in place. I can’t even see a link to their board! Good riddance.

c'mon man, if your gonna stir up at least be creative cause that's as boring as someone potting your club winning one flag in 150 years of existence

do better please
Mate our one flag happened over 50 years ago and there isn’t a single opposition supporter who won’t bring it up. It’s part of the fabric of who we are to others.

So get used to it please.

Wtf is this bloke on about. 😐

Sounds like he’s just trying to create a narrative to try and get his team up, knowing that we’ll be up and about with our 150th celebration. It’s total tripe though, everyone knows we wanted Collingwood lol

Probably spending too much time in this thread last night. We've given them too much ammo.

He's like some histrionic 15 year old school girl on TikTok talking about some imaginary relationship with a celebrity crush. Totally fantasy stuff. They are having a lot of trouble adjusting to being irrelevant....it's only been 20 years, we need to give them time. That and CTE and avgas toxicity have strangled his cognitive function.

Living up here in Qld where the only games live are yesterday’s replays of Brisbane & Gold Coast, I watched a bit of the last half of Suns vs Essendon game.
Seriously & without wearing my St Kilda heart on my sleeve, we will beat them by the length of the Flemington straight.
Ten goals plus, in a real percentage booster.
