Melbourne’s Max Gawn is the competition’s pre-eminent ruckman, but the Demons’ two opponents thus far in Port Adelaide and Geelong have had some success wearing him down with a twin-pronged attack, Port’s Scott Lycett and Paddy Ryder particularly effective. That may force the Demons to use Gawn’s ‘chop outs’ - key forwards Tom McDonald and Sam Weideman - more in that role than they’d prefer to.

OK - team's picked and it is what it is... (regardless how bewildering it is)
However now it is game day and to those 22 blokes in the ones: Just give us something!
I don't expect that we'll win but how about we go down with a fair dinkum fight!
Show the people that there is something there.

Why should Draper stay in Melbourne away from his family when he could go to the Crows and fight for their number 1 spot?

I believe he should be our number 1 already, He's fit and he competes for every ball.
Maybe he doesn’t like his family?

Because he's not ready for AFL football. He may be in a few months but **** me, he's not ready now. He'd get monstered by most rucks.

Clarke and Bellchambers are just going to charge into Gawn and try to break him.

I can see the headlines now!

"Gawn dominant with 128 hitouts as two Bomber ruckman are injured in the first 3 minutes of the game"

Yep, they both run at Gawn from opposite directions at the same time, Gawn steps back and they run into each other at full pace.

Guys, I'm thinking about adding doing random players that played for both sides to the title every week (except for games that have actual names and shit like Dreamtime and ANZAC Day), yea/nay? For example, next week would be the Green-Polkinghorne Shield or something like that. Norf would be the Morgan-Grima something.

overcooking it

3 weeks in and already our season is on the line. if we don’t win its curtains for year.

This club is a joke.

Why? We’ll be one game behind Dees and every other team on 1-2 with 19 games to play. Not out of finals at all

Anyone know if McGrath is likely to play down back or midfield tonight? Looking at your team one of McGrath, Heppell or Mutch has to play there
Mutch probably plays half back.

I'd say both. Probably off half back.

Though I'd like to see him in the guts running through Oliver
