With trade boosts I won’t be knee jerking in Round 2.

Initial plans (if Round 2 mirrors Round 1) looking like:
Steele to Tom Green (maybe even Lipinski)
Ward to JHF
Baldwin to Stengle (had him all preseason and dumped him for Xerri at the last minute)

100k in the bank

The issue with waiting until rd3 is that even 3 trades might not be enough to do your fixes.

Will you get the cash cows that you missed?
Will you get the mid-pricer that is going nuts?
Will you be able to trade out that injured player?

Might have to do 1 fix in rd2...

Can’t get them all and it’s a long season.

Who knows.

Defensive premos were worrying but it's still only one round. I think the only star rookie I've missed is Martin.

Lot of interesting mid-pricers around though. Hewett, Lipinski, Green, McDonald, Heeney, English.

Will see what happens but I think I need to find a way to get Rowell. At this stage I’m likely to go:

Xerri or Brodie to Durdin
Berry to Rowell

Depending on if Hayes and Martin play well again and are safe to field and assuming Berry doesn’t go 100+.

Will be watching Crisp closely but will probably sideways him to Hall.

Stengle could do what Bulter did at the saints in his first year.

I was keen on him but didn't get up the ground that much in the praccy games.
Only av 10 touches ..

Really want to piss Owens off in Round 2.
Round 3... Unsure, depends on how well a few other rookies go. If Rowell backs it up then I will have to sacrifice my worst performing uber premo mid for him unfortunately.

Stengle won't play Essendon every week.

Ridley to Hall will be tempting. Hall gets every single kick out after a point while at Essendon it is a lottery who takes the kick.

Hall wants the ball all the time. Even if Ridley gets 10 kickouts, if he doesn't get a a handful of intercept marks, he'll score 60s/70s/80s. He provides zero drive out of defence, he often defends closely (both tall and small), and he rarely asks for a short kick. We're relying on kickouts and intercept marks.

Ridley to Hall/Doch/Dale/Sicily will be tempting, depending on whether I want to make cash to use elsewhere.

Maybe your answer is on the map
