Out of that lot I think you can rule out Worpel. He won’t be a keeper. So your going to burn two trades there(One to bring him in, and one to upgrade him to strengthen your final side). Kelly and Boak the front runners as both are playing high mid minutes and therefor more chance to score highly. Dahlhaus in better role with the Cats has seen his scoring improve straight away. Will it continue? Who knows. Daniel playing down back in a very SC friendly role too, question marks on if he can continue however. If it was me I’d sit on the trade for a week. Heeney has Carlton this week, and it also allows another look at all potential trade targets. Saving the money is all good and well by going the likes of Dahl and Daniel, but it means stuff all if they return you scores of 85 odd for the remainder of the year after a strong couple of games that you didn’t have them
I like Daniel as a POD, but would wait and see his role/scoring playing alongside JJ

JJ out with a ankle currently (same injury as what Jelwood, Libba and Redman have had last few years)

Aside from that Boak and Kelly for sure

Dusty > Rocky/Brouch/Sheed
Higgo > T. Kelly
Is what I'd do.
Telly I want but I'm not going for any of those mid pricers. Still uncertainty about them and feel they will end up underwhelming their owners soon enough. Rocky probably the best option but probably also the riskiest with Wines coming back, as well as being the ultimate burn man of the past. Might pick him up at round 6 or 7 when he is $500-600k if he is averaging 120+ and doesn't look like slowing down.

Just to throw another chestnut into the fire.
Newmans only full year he had 4 poor scores(1 injury affected) from 18 games (3 tons, including 150)
Finished off last year OK
Good preseason
Plays for a relatively pig free team now
And most importantly like Tmitch horse didn't rate him -or they would both still be there 9

The only trades I'm comsidering are

Billings - kiera
Goldy - grundy

I've been reasonably happy with JB (2 scores in the 80s) but it means i get Grundy early.

If i do it now i bank just under $50k. If i give them 1 more week (going off projections only) it'll be line ball if i can afford it next week.

I started JB over kiera coz i worried Moore would break down but she seems to be holding up ok so far.

Is it worth the risk to pull the trigger early?
Is it worth the risk to hold on?

No other trades (injuries aside) on my horizon for 4 weeks at this stage. I'm very happy with my line up just need consistency from them

Big decisions.

i feel like billings inst going bad enough to trade him, if you do you're using 1 to get him to moore and then another 1 to get moore to a premo down the track when billings could finish a top 8 FWD

Agreed

That's why I'm torn. I just have to convince myself that goldy won't go that bad again this year.

Thanks for the good logic re the 2 trades too, sometimes you can overlook long term implications

These are all the decent possible trades I can think up with my team atm, any stand out choices?

Heeney - Kelly
Ridley - Moore
Hore - Moore (needs money)
Hore - Rozee
Atkins - LDU (needs money )
Dunkley - Kelly
Greene - Worpel
Balta - ??? Rozee?

Heeney - Kelly - no. Hold Heeney he wil come good
Ridley - Moore- yep worth looking at depending on selections for Ess this week
Hore - Moore (needs money) - if you can swing it yep
Hore - Rozee - not as keen. Priced too high for me
Atkins - LDU (needs money ) - nope
Dunkley - Kelly - Nope. Too sideways
Greene - Worpel - yep
Balta - ??? Rozee? - see above

Well fingers crossed campbell GTFO of the team soon and goldy dosent keep spitting up 66's or you might have some trouble, although i did see goldy got a ton of hit outs just brissy mids got to the ball first, could of easily been a better score. tough one

Darling my pod F4 still, he's warming up, one of these days he'll smash 140 out
I have heeney and darling too, and thinking the same. darling is not going as well as i hoped but doing enough to hold for another few weeks.

I give myself 2-4 correctional trades at the beginnings to fix up the 50/50 selections where i chose the wrong 50...

The billings curse is tempting me to cut Heeney loose.

Tossing up bn worpel and dahlhaus- thinking Dahl has more chance of sustaining a full year and being a keeper.

Daniel played the same role successfully the last 4 rounds of last year with JJ in the side in 3 of those games.

I am, like most, on the hating Dusty + Heeney bandwagon.
Feels weird to consider trading both however...

At the moment have gone:
Out: Dusty, Heeney
In: Rocky, Worpedo, $305k in the bank.

Thoughts, comments, outright abuse?

He did, but would still like to see still as 666 comes in to play now

Might only need 2 weeks of data to convince

That is just before Rocky gets injured though!

Proof from 2017 - Was averaging 124 after Rd8
Every other kent had traded him in just before, get's injured misses 4 weeks and is shit for the rest of the year then traded.

If you’re trying to win it Goldstein to Grundy is a must I have Billing’s too and I wanted to get rid of him last week and this week but haven’t been able to yet hopefully next week for me he was a dubious selection and I’ve regretted it I’ve watched both his games and he is the same player he was last year. He is very soft and once they start playing decent teams his scoring will be awful just my opinion of course.

Another option could be
Goldy -> Grundy
instead of
Heeney -> Worpedo?
