Ok guys. My turn to post my lot coz I have no feckin clue what to do...

View attachment 647453

Only posting this section coz the rest of my team is ticking along ok.

Option 2 is to Worpel / Dollhouse which gives me 144k / 121k. Worpel in particular puts me bloody close to straight upgrade to grundy as early as next week. But what are the chances either will end up keepers?

I think both will be keepers, as in eventual M5/M6 types. I honestly think doll’s reinvigorated & will be that 95-100 avge he was a few years ago.

I don’t think Kelly’s worth the extra 100k for not much more output. Doll’s just unders because he was in a rut at the dogs.

Reckon lycett has trap written all over him. Will be good for 80 average but you'll end up burning another trade upgrading him later on

Id go dusty - cogs
Agreed.
Lycett a great get at 440 if you picked him and looked to trade to a price drop Grundy Ruck or a premo FWD.
Wouldn't trade for him unless you were sure he'd be good enough as a F6 and you had a R3/F like Bines to swing around when byes / short term injuries hit.

DUSTY TO ROCKY??

I need some serious help on this one been pulling me hair out all week! On the surface it looks a beauty, underperforming premo > rising mid pricer, pocket the 150k and RUN before anyone can tell you otherwise.
BUT WAIT.

Rocky comes up against his old mob the Lions this week, you fellas seriously reckon they're just gonna let him play in a paddock like he has the first two games? Port have played two underwhelming teams thus far, when they get to the nitty gritty of their schedule how can we be so sure Rocky will be allowed free roam of the park without a leash?? Also Wines back in this week surely this can't have a positive effect on the rock lobster!?

Has Dusty really been THAT bad?? He scored 109 in week one (albeit against Carlton) and was actually humming along very nicely in the first half of last weeks game before the Pies and Levi got control. I keep hearing "No tackles! He's laid one tackle in his last 3 games!", but we don't actually think Dusty's tackle average will be one across three for the whole season do we? This is Dustin Martin we're talking about. This ain't like when I held Jack Billings all year waiting for the breakout, this is a bona fide superstar of the comp. He has to find his mojo, doesn't he? Someone is going to step up for these Tigers and who better than Dusty himself after he's been beaten pillar to post all week by the media??

PLEASE am I clinically insane that holding Dusty and saving the trade (how much worth does this one trade have right now?) is starting to seem like a better idea than flipping to Rocky? The usual pessimists are out with their "Oh watch me trade Dusty and he scores 150 this week", don't these circumstances seem TAILOR MADE for that situation to occur?

I'm torn on what to do this week. I have all the rookies worth having so feel the need to bring in LDU so was thinking of ditching Heeney and Goldstein while I can. Which option do you prefer? Or are there any glaring mistakes I'm missing.

A - Heeney>Worpel and Goldy>Grundy with 23k left
B - Heeney > Llyod via Moore and Goldy> Lycett with 78k left
C - Hold and don't trade

Think Lycett and Worpel have the potential to just be as frustrating as the players you want to trade out.

Think it's unlikely Worpel outscores Heeney from here.

Lycett just got his probable top score for the year and a career high disposals in a wet game v a depth ruckman. He's not the saviour.

Can you just go Heeney to Lloyd or Goldy to another ruckman that isn't Grundy that you intend to use in the same way as Goldy was planned? McEvoy for example?

Jack out = Dusty forward

Have decided swapping out two of Heeney, Menegola and Dunkley is way too sideways, and not worth it to get Lloyd in for unsafe $400k forwards I will have to trade out anyway, so have decided:

Heeney > Crisp instead.

Will definitely take a 95-100 avg for $519k and reckon he will be top 6 at end of season. So I can get him now or later, and he has the same bye as a lot of those other FWD options.

You’re not crazy for wanting to trade Dusty out, you’re crazy for starting with him. Kick him to the curb, but not for Rocky FFS, grab a Premo.

I don’t have enough $ to go Dusty -> Neale...

So considering my other options:
Treloar or Cogs...
No. Why would you upgrade a stepping stone to another stepping stone? I’d wait.

But if you must, Bontkotd or Sloanedog (even Mrouch) appeal more that Trebutcher or Cogmissing.

Who is the third highest averaging forward for the rest of the year (if I guess that Kelly is second behind danger)?

Seems like you could throw a blanket over the field.
Gunston

On what basis.? That his injury is not too bad and that he will start playing more mid.
Question is if and when? .

On the basis is that his game is built for sc and when he gets the mid time he will pump out big scores. His ankle will recover and he will storm home. Unless he gets injured again
