Hi guys,

A few questions. Firstly, for some stupid reason I went with Cloke. And I have both Enright and Mitchell. And I went for Michie instead of Tyson. Also, with Laidler and Clurey out I have no back bench. So I'm thinking......thinking....thinking...

Clurey to Georgiou (swap Langdon back to defence from mids and then I can bench enright and mitchell if needed)
Michie to Tyson (much better scores and JS I think)
Cloke to whomever before he falls his 51k (Zorko, tmitchell etc)
Enright to Swallow.

Which 2 seem best.

My Backline is Hanley, Mitchell, Enright, Mcdonald, Langford Suckling (Laidler, Clurey
My mid is Ablett, Libba, Watson, Beams, DThomas, Polec, Langdon Dunstan (Michie, Ellis)
Fwd is Danger, Martin, parker, Higgins, Rohan, Cloke (JKH, Mcarthy)

Going for the slow and steady cash generation.

So I've pretty much locked in Suckling > D.Swallow, but means I Have to downgrade someone to find the 100k.

Higgins > Ambrose
OR
Webster > Midfield/Back Rookie (Who though? Already have Lang-bros, Georgiou, Laidler, Tyson, Dunstan, Aish, Polec, Ellis)

So i currently have $260K

My backline is McVeigh - Hanley - Swallow - Langdon - Georgiou - Langford (Laidler/Clurey)

McDonald is on my mid bench for DPP.

If Laidler isn't selected it would seem the smart move is to Trade him and Swap McDonald back bring Matt Thomas in the midfielder costing me 90K.

BUT the other option was to downgrade Libba to Matt Thomas and pocket the $326K and use it for early upgrades.

I have Ablett, Pendles, Beams and Cotchin as my other premiums as well as Libba.
Tyson and Polec are scoring like premiums but that could dry up quickly.

I've used 1 trade and gone Gunston to Zorko.

Don't think you can carry Laidler/Clurey when you have 3 rookies on field - I'd personally play McDonald, Georgiou (64 each week, pretty solid), and one of Langford/Langdon depending on team they have (e.g. if Hawks are playing Melbourne I'd guess Langford would get more time on ball and so play him instead of Langdon etc etc). Laidler -> M.Thomas, McDonald back is what I'd do. Think of it as Libba v Laidler (obviously not exactly true due to $$$ but if you don't nail the upgrades with the $326k it's a waste imo)

McDonald?

I actually agree but would consider him for the money if that's what your after.

He will rise at least to 400k or a 150k profit whereas Mayes will make less on the 379k investment
Also, I have Hunter (284k) in my Fwd line who is a fwd/mid like Mayes. When Hunter reaches the 400/500 k mark, l will put mayes inmy fwd line and trade Hunter to a rookie mid:).

Suckling will only get better, he's been out of action for 12 months.

I don't have him but I wouldn't trade him out if i'd grabbed him to begin with

I've gone with
Ryder -> Mumford (Injury + ordinary scoring) + mumford actually looks like he will average over 100 which is all i wanted.
JKH -> Ambrose (hoping for a quick payrise on this one and JKH just isn't getting it done plus opportunities in the melbourne forward line don't look too crash hot).

Still leaves me with Mitchell, Webster, D.Thomas, Pavlich as issues but to be honest I'm willing to cop those. My key focus is to get my rookies earning cash for upgrades. Unfortunately the Ryder injury and terrible score kind of forced my hand on that one - would be giving up a lot of points and $ to do an alternate trade + Currie is no guarantee to play.

Could you turn him into Merrett, what do you think of him? Watched him closely last two weeks and he has been very impressive I thought. 80ish against the Hawks isn't easy. Uses the ball well, gets involved in scores, should be part of a good team for the year. I was this close to trading him in last week but with McDonough ruining plans I didn't want to use 2 trades round 1...3 before price changes is what I do max

Are you confusing Jackson with Zac?

I would be very suprised if Kennedy-Harris was the sub again next week.

Then again after a 15 goal loss expect some changes, Michie and Kennedy-Harris were not among the worst players today

so my problems are McDonough in fwds and spud Jacobs... can wait on mcd to see how kk goes 2nd week or j Kelly using dpp but wondering if I pull the trigger on Jacobs to hickey or mummy...also just for those creaming about zorko remember rocky was out this week!

Funny no one is getting around NRoo now Zorko had a pearler

Taylor if he can keep his spot.

Ryder > Mumford
JKH or Rohan > Ambrose
I'd like to be able to get Tyson in for Michie rather than bringing in Ambrose but after getting Mumford I don't have enough $.

Your point being he scored 120 against hawthorn the week before

Mitchell > Swallow
Higgins > Zorko

Tossing up whether I should or shouldn't complete the second trade, as I am pretty set on making the first one. Is it worth switching to Zorko now that he's in red hot form and Higgins is lagging behind, or would it be better in the long-run to stick with Higgins? Having trouble deciding. But I do think Zorko's the better option. Just a final team tune-up really. Just as long as he scores more than Higgins in future.
