Watching the replay I’m pretty sure I head the crowd chanting Mason wooood ( a La Collingwoooood) but didn’t hear it at the ground.

Did anyone hear this or am I dreaming? Quite early in the game.

Yes this happened, I was laughing at it with the group I was with because we were also giving them a bath at that point in the game.

I watched the game and I knew he had 18 disposals, but he had ZERO affect on the game. He took one good contested mark over a much smaller opponent. At one stage in the 1st quarter he didnt body line the ball and the opposition picked it up and it cost a goal. He immediately dropped his head, its not the type of response you want to see. It didnt change his attack on the ball thats for sure. I used to be a fan, but he is currently playing with no intensity or purpose and should be the last picked of the available players.

I fear for this week. I reckon after a good result in a big game, and we continue to lose soldiers, we might have an off week and get rolled. The thing with RTB2's game plan is you need to be switched on 100%, and there were some signs on Saturday of it just starting to drop off a bit. 14 in the trainers room is gonna catch up with us at some stage, I think this week might be it.

The flip side is that if we get rolled, I think we're a better chance against the Pies than if we win again....

I am not saying he does or doesn't deserve a game in front of others just pointing out that he obviously had an effect on the game and wasn't invisible.

And its not a matter of him deserving a promotion .... the Match Committee will make a call based on team needs and best fit against Gold Coast
