Again it all stems down to the fact that we have the worst midfield in AFL

• Jones is a half back
• Ross is more outside mid
• Brynes is mediocre
• Philipou, Wilson and Owens are not genuine mids
• Sinclair is a half back with good skills

So out of 8 players who rotate through the midfield, we only have Steele who is an actually genuine mid.. To compensate for this, we try to send more bodies to pressure the ball/win the ball, then position our defenders to press high to win the ball, easy score out the back when our pressure fails.. rinse and repeat..

When Ryder was playing, at least he can tap down the ball to our players. Marshall is good for a tackle/hack kick from congestion.. night and day..
