Round 4: Changes v Pussy Cats

We can definitely win this but I'd feel much more confident with a second tall defender. We'll already have two players giving away a height advantage, and if Blicavs or Stanley rest forward that would make 3. Just puts the defense under too much pressure if the midfield aren't on top.

I wouldn't Play any of those as the sub Duryea should have lost his spot even though he played well , it's not what I'd do but I wouldn't be surprised if Richards is the sub

I suspect Williams goes back to the wing and Macrae or Daniel is the sub. Duryea would be an unusual choice as sub, but it’s possible.

This Makes sense as I can’t understand why Bevo has been playing players like Williams and JJ in their best positions last two weeks and we are winning, time for a bit of Bevo Lotto

Duryea will be the sub in my opinion, just makes sense on team balance with the selected 23. Macrae unlikely given what Bevo said in his past two press conferences.
Don't see a lot of value with Duryea as sub. It's a rare discussion. Who will be sub? Usually there's an obvious candidate. Only Darcy gets a pass it seems in this mix.

Perhaps a late change is in the offing.

I think Duryea will be the sub. Williams will be the one to move if we get an injury to a different part of the ground because I think Bevo has like Williams defence the last couple of weeks.

Is out of Duryea or Richards as we play 7 defenders only. Duryea not much of an impact type, but nor was Poulter and that doesn’t seem to be the way we approach the sub position.

Will likely be Duryea, and if a non-defender is subbed off, will just be Williams swung around to accomodate.

Duryea sub for sure. Macrae needs to build form (Bevos own words) and CD is just too good and it shows.

Duryea sub allows us to swing a defender higher up the ground if needed, Ed or Williams. Would love to see Ed attend a center bounce or two.

I would be extraordinarily surprised if Richards is the sub. Very very very unlikely in my opinion.

I think it'll be Duryea. We don't really seem to use it as an impact player to come in and turn the game, more just another runner or versatile player who is just outside best 22 to get a chance as sub. He isn't ideal but Duryea will be an ok sub, prefer that over any of the others on the bench.

The sub doesn't have to just come from the bench 5, but we seem to list it that way so far...

How often have we played 8 defenders before? Unless Williams goes back up the ground (unlikely based on presser?) then Duryea has to be sub

Bevo has rolled the dice again with a small backline. Did not work against Dees, worked against the Suns and last week against WCE it did not matter how we structured our backline.

This is a real risk Jones must take Hawkins which probably leaves Buku or Richards to take Cameron. I am sure Scott who nearly always out coaches Bevo will push Blivacs and Stanley forward plus they Henry as a smaller marking option. Tim needs to push back as often he can to help our undersized defence,

Memo to Bevo please do not blow this one. It is one of the few times we have a chance of beaten the cats, 5 day break, no Danger and not at the cattery.

Cameron has barely threatened as a marking forward so far this year, he is playing up the ground and leading out the the F50 flanks giving Hawkins deep position. Jezza always kills us (like many do) with the ball coming over the top.

Seems like he is investing in the source and contests thereat and backing us to outscore them. No doubt their taller timber will score a few but will it be enough. And let's face it, their smalls to mediums in the fwd line are just as dangerous and our smaller backline is better equipped to cope with that threat whilst also having the capacity to rebound. Not against this horse for this course.

The Cats aren’t really that tall in the forward line. Jones will obviously take Hawkins.

Cameron free wheels around the ground these days and I actually expect Richards or Williams to take him as he moves up the field and Buku a little deeper.

Henry is certainly dangerous but someone that Richards or Williams can match up on. Blicavs is the backup ruckman but doesn’t really move forward so I can certainly understand rolling the dice on the smaller backline.
