Round 4 Trades

I dont think Fyfe can just continue to put his shoulder out numerous times every year for the next 10 years. Eventually, and I reckon it will be this year, they are just going to say enoughs enough, and give him the full operation. Looking at how easy the last one popped out, it's only a matter of time before it happens again, and I wouldnt imagine they will just keep strapping it. If my prediction comes true, not only will he get a crap score the round he injures it, his price will also drop even more, making his trade value useless.

Yeh, admittedly there isnt a whole lot of forwards in his range that excite me, thinking Cloke could be the go. Will easily average 90+, is capable of bagging big scores, is yet to play GWS, GC, Melb, Bull or Lions and rarely gets injured.

Lock him in Eddie.

Watching the way Embley's shoulder fell apart in the match vs Melbourne, after the Eagles/Embley decided against surgery once he injured it in the pre-season, has me very concerned. That, and the possibility of Fyfe having a week's rest here and there when Freo come up against GWS, Gold Coast etc.

PS: Saw your ranking on the BF ladder, nice solid start to the season :thumbsu:

yeah, that could be a real possibility too. i'm not sure how i'm going to approach fyfe this week. and cheers. :thumbsu: long way to go though, hope to return to the top 1,000 this year.

Dickson hasnt been given a go......yet. And the doggies have a problem there so eventually he has to be given a decent chance.
Surely the Doggies will try him Even if he is shit, he might be better than whats on offer now. He will get at least 3 games:p
Id be putting a line straight through the Fyfenator. No way that shoulder will last.
I agree on the shoulder. A shame, he is a real talent and great to watch. It will rob us of a real specticle. He is a gun.

If Fyfe is in, he's staying in my team. Mainly because if I'm getting rid of him, the most likely candidate for coming in is Drummond and that's not a whole lot better.

Other than that, if Smedts isn't back Boumann will have to be dumped for either Tomlinson or Morris to avoid a donut. Unsure of which yet, as both are very similar other than DPP (Tomlinson) and job security (seemingly Morris).

I wonder if shuffling straight over to Sidebottom is a reasonable move from Fyfe. He's nudging 100 average, and with no Luke Ball is only going to become more key in the midfield. Pies aren't going to lose 2 outta 3 for the remainder of the year, either.

Hmmmm. I want to keep Fyfe, because of what he did last year even with bad shoulders. But... how many early red vests is he gonna get?

Last week's sacking's didn't go according to plan, dam you broughton to dempsey but StevieJ to Kennedy(GWS) worked.

So with the money i made time to upgrade some rookies

Bouman to goddard
Hoskin Elliot to boomer (can then cover goodes and fyfe if dickson isn't picked)

peoples thoughts?

Two other guys I'm considering down back is J Trengove or Dempster. Thoughts?

What should i do this week with Fyfe?
Im fairly certain he must go for me now, too much risk and i cant afford the young man to go down in a few weeks again and be ruled out for the season costing me extra money making it difficult to sideways to another premium if need be. So my question is, what path should i follow? At the minute i traded in Stanley(St.K) for Fyfe, collecting extra cash for me to upgrade a rookie the following week to Murphy in the mids. Does this sound alright? Or would i be better placed sideways trading Fyfe for say Roughy,Saint Nick,Boomer,Pav etc and waiting a few weeks for my rookies to moo and then getting in Murphy???

What will net me the most points?

Who says it will be a burnt trade? If he breaks down then ill worry about it. 93 first game back is hard to ignore

just saying mate. :p if he breaks down and you're forced to trade it'll be a case of being down 2 trades due to players that have had a history of injuries. plenty of others will atest to having brought him in on the back of a decent pre-season or 1 or games after coming back before he's re-injured again. that's all.

What backman should i go with this week? Currently have Goddard, Scotland, Deledio and Birchall(who ive traded in this week) but there are concerns about Birchalls knee and was also wondering if maybe there are better options other than Birchall. What other premium backs are performing well? Or any backs for that matter?

Grimes is hurting me, im getting rid of him, im chucking some rookies in to cover for lake and goodes, but ill get some money for grimes i think, thinking either clarke or geary, but dont know which one to go with, really worried about their consistentcy, can they keep performing as they have been? theres a reason they're cheap after all.....?

Geary was out with a LTI during 2011 and Clarke has just come back to the AFL after a couple years back home in Ireland. That's why their prices started cheaply. I think they both look like holding their spots at the moment, both play off the half-back and get a lot of touches, I can see them both averaging high 80's-low 90's which will make for a good D7 by years end.
