I guess you can wait, also depends on your cover for FWDS.

But you never know, Mayes could get injured this week, so if you have good cover hold off a week just incase.

The other thing is obviously only 2 max trades per week. If your looking at upgrading other areas do that this week then go Varcoe > Mayes next week.

Just curious, i have mentioned him previously and apologies if someone has already asked this. After watching the last couple of weeks, what does everyone think of Luke Hodge, could be a massive POD! Severely under priced for a player of his talents. Or is it a case of previous injury making it too much risk for reward? Will he be rested frequently or do you think they will just switch his role to keep him fresh. Thoughts?

I was thinking the same. He is underpriced. I do worry about him missing matches though, and he won't be as dominant as he use to be. I ended up staying clear, and jumping on Wingard for the cash upgrade. Saying that, Hodge may still average 100, but he is also one who will be dependent on the position he plays.

Vlaustin. Use Mitchell as a donut in mid to determine which of your rookies play on the field. Plus, you'll bank more cash.

How does everyone have so much spare cash?

Don't know about everyone else, but I got my cash from 3 fix it/sideways-downgrade trades in Rd2 & 3. Apart from the money made, the players I bought in all scored well (outscored the players traded out) and still have negative B/E's this week. Let the good times roll.

he looked great, looked composed, however in terms of JS brisbane do have depth in the 12-22 range - look at the players they dropped this week plus the extended benches etc, all capable of getting a game

I feel he's banging out 120s and he hasn't cracked 30 touches yet. Might have some poor games, but also has giant 160s in him. And in an improved Tigers outfit, not sure he'll ever be the first guy tagged. Risky, was always first picked when a defender. As mid only... less than 9% of teams have him.

Anyway... better options?

After an atrocious first week I've somehow recovered to top 3000 overall so I'm reasonably happy. Two suspensions have got me in trading mode again though.

What's the go with Macaffer? Looked terrible in his first 2 games and looks like he isn't playing again. Keep or trade? Rowe looks good and secure with Kreuzer out for a while.

If you are happy with your FWD rookies i'd wait another week but I watched the game last night and he looks very comfortable. If you have a weak F6 then it wouldn't hurt to get him in early.

Risky. Unless you are just going for a quick cash grab and have a solid team. Think you would be better off with just the Roughy/berger trade and pocket some cash.

Agreed. Lids was in and around my team, so was Cotchin, ended up leaving both out in the end for Danger/Stanton. Was seriously considering Moloney and one of the Tigs. DOH! Danger will be the death of me if he throws up rubbish for another month. Have to stick with him now and hope he turns it around. He must have spent 15-20 mins on the bench the last two weeks trying to stop his nose bleeding! GAH!
